Quality sushi, sashimi and sake!
Sit at the bar. Order a sushi omakase (not sashimi). One of the best in town.
Awarded one star (★) in the 2015 Michelin Guide for NYC restaurants.
Get the Selection of Sushi (Nigiri) and finish off with some Umeshu (plum wine) – delicious.
get the nigiri omakase. skip everything else.
A wonderful little gem that shares space with Degustation. But the room is tiny and the curved walls might make you feel a bit claustrophobic. Was surprised how reasonably priced it was.
Omakase was great but I also saw some crazy rolls being made.
Otoro (fatty tuna), all the rolls, wonderful high quality sake
The omakase was amazing. Rivals the sushi in Japan
Chef's omakase course is really good and filling. You could opt to take sushi or maki omakase and take a few a la carte alternatively but I think the course provides real value
Scallop Roll, King Crab Roll, Trio of Tartares, Bluefin Tuna Roll, White Miso Soup, Maboroshi "Mystic Falls" Sake
Awesome sushi. Very tasty seaweed salad. Sit at the bar if you can. Adds to the experience..
Sit at the sushi bar in front of the head chef and order the omakase. Absolutely unreal.
High quality sushi, reasonably priced omakase, great ambiance. Go to spot in east village.
Great sushi, beautiful decor. If you know and appreciate honest sushi and fish you cannot go wrong with the omakase. Great sake selection too.
Omakase was a little disappointing for $85 (check out Sushi Dojo for the best I've had in this price range)
Feels like I've been robbed. 50$ meal at most. Rice is the most important part of sushi and they totally didn't get that.
Extremely disappointing. The rice breaks up felt cheap, which wastes the fish which is decently fresh. Had the omakase and the selection of sushi wasn't anything special. Bad service to top it off.
sake and get adventurous with the sushi
fantastic sushi and the sake cocktail pairs well
the best omakase and atmosphere for sushi in the east village! tucked away, you feel like you've left new york for a few hours at dinner
Omakase tasting menu was great but overpriced.
Santa Barbara uni.
Don't miss the Scallop & Uni cup with both raw and seared Uni
Get the makimono omakase, sashimi is fantastic here but don't forget their dessert, matcha tiramisu.
Try the Green tea ice cream sandwich - Chocolate cookie and marcona almond.
Try the Selection Of Sushi
Try the Salmon Skin Roll - With kaiware, cucumber and Japanese pickles.
Try the Spicy Tuna and Yellowtail Roll - With scallions and cucumbers.
Try the Large Makimono Rolls - Not that large. Delicious though.
Try the Trio Of Tartares - Bluefin tuna, salmon and yellowtail tartare with sweet potato chips. Great.
Can't left without assorted mix of sashimi
Sashimi and sushi are superb, with wasabi grated tableside. For dessert, get jasmine ice cream with chocolate cookies. – Green Guide Editor
Sit at the sushi bar with Yoshi and put yourself in his hands
Michelin Star my ass.
Great service, friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. I will be back!
What supposedly was one if the best Japanese in the city is no longer the same. Grotesque sized rolls and less than fresh sushi. Thumbs down.
Dined here last night. Was very disappointed. Spent over $120 on food only and received small pieces of sushi with rice falling apart, dry salmon skin roll and overall not impressive taste.
Whatever you do.. Trio Tartare for starters. Always.
Be adventurous and order the Omakase which contains the finest fish flown from Japan. You won’t forget the Otoro, the mouth-watering fatty tuna placed over rice that instantly melts in your mouth.
Awesome food!!! For starters try the seaweed salad and a sake martini.
Order the omakase here for a mind-blowing sushi experience, and be sure to sit at the sushi bar. The fish is incredibly fresh and truly sets the standard for how sushi should be.
Trio tartare blew my mind! Mushrooms papillote and green tea chocolate ice cream sandwich were very creative too.
Try the Snow Crab Sushi
Try the Omakase Makimono
Try the Mushrooms In Papillote
Try the Trio Of Tartares
Try the Crispy Rice Topped With Tuna
