Artisanal coffee shops dedicated to providing phenomenal coffees from around the world.
Best cup'a around. Always good indie rock playing. -Seth Caro, Top Chef Just Desserts
There are several Joe's locations and they're all great, so it should come as no surprise that this is the best coffee shop in the Upper West Side.
Jonathan Rubinstein's espresso shop in the West Village has been a hit ever since it opened in 2002. Rubinstein recently switched to beans from Ecco Caffe, a boutique Sonoma roaster.
Don't forget to pick up a punch-card-- after 10,get 1 free drink!
Finally, a place that makes espresso that doesn't taste burned. You'd think this wouldn't be such a widespread problem in New York, but it is.
They take such care to brew coffee correctly, try drinking it black sometime, even if you usually add things or go with blended drinks.
New York City! The absolute best staff at this location; the finest Latte I've had in weeks! Smells like comfort inside. ;)
don't cross the streams, it would be bad
Try the excellent cortado and the farm cake!
Joe, you make some of my favorite coffee in town. But no wifi? I realize it's a tiny space, but this is coffee shop in 2010 we're talking...
Great hot chocolate. Swing in and grab a cup during the cold days of January.
Their raisin oatmeal cookies and macaroons are pretty darn good too.
Lattes are so damn delicious but not better than Blue Bottle Coffee's.
Great coffee spot. Get here early and hang out with the regulars (both two and four legged). In the afternoon, enjoy a smooth pour over coffee. Family owned by wonderful folks.
Rugelach are awesome
outside of stumptown at the ace, joes has the best latte by far in manhattan
Wow, one of the best cappuccinos EVER! Thanks Joe
Remember cash only
Where coffee is an art. Each barista truly knows how to work that latte machine and produce the most delicious coffee in the city
Don’t be discouraged by the line, the coffee is worth it! Try the drip bar if it is after noon.
Truly awesome coffee!
Best Latte in the city! Eat your heart out Starbucks!
Best coffee (latte) around and runner friendly. Glad no wifi - means you can usually get a seat. Friendly punters
My local favourite and somehow they manage to make 2% cappuccino taste like full fat ones! Genius;-)
Cash only is so dumb
Joe is now starting to do it's own roasting
A great cortado
Best coffee from flavor to presentation!!! Also they use pacific soy barista blenders which if you're dairy free like makes ALL the difference
Like ginger? Get the ginger rooisbos tea, or the ginger molasses cookie. Or both :-)
Seasonal house - mix of Brazilian and Peru - and the unbeatable muffins are highly recommended. Also sometimes, when the weather is clear, you can pick up free wifi if u sit in the couch section.
Only place on uws I have seen with a cortado on the menu.
Everything here is delicious, but I'm partial to the chai latte- creamy, flavourful, and not too spicy. Beats Starbuck's any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
Their chai is great!
Don't get a dirty chai! The espresso roast and the spice of their chai do not complement each other well. Try the chocolate truffle cookie, though!
Cash only. Good coffee.
Espresso drinks are superb.
The latte was one of the best I've ever had. Hank Azaria was there.
Cold brewed espresso latte is fantastic
Best latte around.
Good coffee on the UWS
Best drip coffee I've had in awhile.
Cold brew, house coffee, macaroons
Like black coffee? Stop by in the mornings for a cup of their single origin!
Great coffee every single time.
Cold brew is the best thing here, regular house roast always solid
Latte is one of the best in NYC!
If you're getting an Italian soda, raspberry is an excellent choice of flavor.
