Food ranges from terrible to mediocre. The only safe option is the XLB. Beware the nasty lady manager.

SOUP DUMPLINGS! But beware, don't bite into it too quickly or you'll burn your mouth. Scallion pancakes are really good as well.

The sweet and sour fish and tofu Szechuan style are absolute favorites. Soup dumpling are also a must.

    Merissa · August 27, 2014
  • Tif C.

The soup dumplings are supposed to be from the same kitchen but there is a marked difference. Generally speaking it's minor but for people who've been going there forever it's very very apparent.

    Tif C. · August 21, 2014
  • Liliana E.

Soup dumplings. Peking duck is also good - comes with pancakes, hoisin, scallions and cucumbers - but not enough to cost $21. Either way - if there's a wait at joe's shanghai.... Just come here!

    Liliana Emmolo · August 18, 2014
  • Marco L.

Actually the best is the pork soup dumpling the crab is more expensive and has almost no crab I would not bother so much for other dishes

    Marco Lienhard · August 16, 2014

Joe's Shanghai & Joe's Ginger are on same block, serve same soup dumplings. Don't wait two hrs outside former, when u can walk in and be seated at the latter.

As many have said...same owners/cooks as joe shanghai (tourist trap). Get the CRAB soup dumplings. I'm an eyewitness to the staff cracking open real crab for their dumplings!

The soup dumplings is comparable, not as good as queens location though, fish (seabass) ordered wasn't as fresh though:(. If u want dumplings without the wait of other spot, come over here!

the menu is long (as menus often are in this neighborhood), but you only need order the first two things on the menu. #1. crab meat soup dumplings. #2. pork soup dumplings.

Service déplorable. Vraiment. Jamais vu un tel comportement ! Ils vous tapent les menus en tas sur la table. Les assiettes/couverts déposés n'importe comment. Rien à faire de mettre devant vous!
