The stuffed potatoes are not to be forgotten. Filling by themselves. But you can add meat toppings.

My favorites: turkey sandwich (jumbo), beans and/or cole slaw, arnold palmer. Use all of the condiments, especially the onion relish and the regular BBQ sauce.

While the pulled pork is certainly a standard favorite, the ham on a sandwich is mighty tasty!

Must-try items include the definitely not vegetarian BBQ pit beans, succulent ribs, and turkey so tender it practically falls apart with a stern gaze.

    JK Grence · July 5, 2011
  • Noel S.

I wouldn't call this the best BBQ in town. Decent but nothing special. Try the real root beer. Takes some getting used to if you are used to the mass produced stuff but still good

    Noel Searles · March 3, 2011
  • Serge

Meh. Average to middling food, no idea why there's a line out the door. We love BBQ but honestly you get a tiny piece of meat and a dry piece of toast, and even the root beer sucks. Sauce is decent.

    Serge · November 25, 2010

Two meat turkey/ribs is the winner. Love the turkey. Don't be a wimp and be sure to try the hot sauce!

The only problem is that it is always packed. Lines regularly going out's that good

    Jacob-Kiki Hantla · December 1, 2013

Sit outside for extra room to spread out. The soda machine is inconveniently placed, but the homemade root beer is to die for!

    Megan Campbell · November 18, 2013

By far the best BBQ I have ever had! I love ordering to go, and picking it up at the cute little window outside! The people are hilarious and their chicken is the best you'll ever have!!

Joe's BBQ is a VERY popular place in Gilbert (and for good reason). As a result, it is often quite crowded. I recommend going for lunch or early dinner, if possible, to avoid the evening rush.

Their bbq is over priced and disgusting. Far from a Real BBQ joint. Brisket was dry. Ribs were tough and pulled pork was watery.

    Greg Janiak · June 13, 2013
  • Greg W.

The best bbq in the valley. If it's your first time you have to get a half slab of ribs (caked in sauce), bbq beans, mac n cheese, and homemade rootbeer. You can thank me later.
