Loved the old times bone but not the food. Both lobster ravioli app and gristly prime rib weren't finish able. I'd pass for the many good places in town worth the money.
Nice cousy place
For a great steak and a good dining experience try Morton's
Not a great dining experience. It's a steak diner!
Sealed salmon, best option
Classic steak restaurant. I loved my ribeye but I expect they will do well with other cuts as well. Lovely sourdough reminds you that you are in San Francisco. Classic cocktails.
The best steak in my life. Definitely a must. Just try it.
Best steak I ever ate! Go for The stake. No mussels though. Excellent.
A classic. Get the oysters and a couple of martinis. It's tight quarters in here though so make a reservation.
Everything , lobster ravioli,
Hands down the best clam chowder in the city!
One would think seafood crepes that cost $27 would have chunks of fresh seafood, not a microwaved paste. Tastey, but not on par with the price for a coastal city.
Home of the Maltese Falcon
Fine old SF steak house & great bar
Sea bass was really good n the service too 👍
The Sam Spade chops are not just a tourist trick. Tender and tasty!
The filet mignon was like bitter! This place has old school charm.
The seafood manicotti is exceptional! My friend had fried oysters- my sample was delicious. Wonderful way to finish off the National REALTORS Convention! Claire and I give it 4 stars!
Lobster ravioli & jerusalem chicken. I love it!!!
Great Filet Mignon !!
The Jack Lalanne salad is a must order.
Great ribeye, great artists
Great food and service. Bartender was very friendly.
I had the microwaved filet and my girlfriend had the microwaved fish. We started with the microwaved ravioli. Charge 35 bucks to push start? I will never get that hour of my life back.
Historical appeal does not compensate for lack of seasoning and bland dishes. Lost somewhere in the past, the chef doesn't appear concerned with freshness. Bread was clearly old as well.
Do not order de cannelloni
Service could have been a lot better, drinks were good though!
Good food for sure.
Great food. The best eatery that we had in SFO!
The Jack LaLanne salad is amazing!! And so was the seafood cannelloni. Randomly found this restaurant and it was well worth the price.
The Cioppino was amazing. Highly recommended.
Food is not that great. I would make this my last resort
The calve's liver was excellent. Old school preparation.
Clam chowder New England style is not good here...
Great service and wonderful steaks!
Oysters Wellington at the bar for lunch. Just sayin'.
Ribeye cut a little thin and not on the bone. Try the porterhouse. Nice Cesar salad. Matt was very accommodating
Everything's fine! Tasteful food, live jazz! Special thanks for seafood pasta!! :) Restoran with great history! Open since 1908.
Okay food but slow service... I had the swordfish. Good, but the sides came cold and were not very flavorful. Expensive as well. I would choose another location overall.
The reviews for the food were awful and scared us off. We had an excellent experience at the bar. The classic atmosphere was really nice.
Have a negroni at the bar
This was very cool. In an historic building, serves classic steak and seafood. Excellent service, and The Maltese Falcon.
This was very cool. In an historic building, serves classic steak and seafood. Excellent service, and The Maltese Falcon lives upstairs.
Great Caesar salad. Ordered steak medium, should have gone medium rare.
Try the Jumbo Prawn Cocktail
The fried prawns were awful! But the chef's special red snapper was great!
Excellent ribeye!!! Order the mushrooms to go on it!
Best steak house in United Square. Friendly and delicious.
