Make sure you check out the ceiling. This place is an old renovated church.
This pizza parlor serves the whole pie, so #DontBlowIt by asking for just a slice.
The old church atmosphere is spectacular but the pizza is just as amazing. Nice thin crust with a brick-oven taste, come here for the quintessential New York pizza.
Their pizzas are one of the best in Manhattan; love the restaurant atmosphere
One of our favorite places to come for a pizza dinner with friends! This huge space is open late. Try a Traditional with Prosciutto and Basil. Fried Calamari is good too!
Get there off-peak time to avoid crowds.
This place had great food. The pizza by the pie and not by the slice. Grab a salad also.
Gorgeous cathedral ceiling. Pizza is great too
Great food and great service! Sit upstairs if you can for a great view.
Great calamari too
No slices here, but great full-sized pizza pies. Grab a beer and wait out the crowds at the bar.
Credit card is accepted contrary to previous tip.
Good pizza but for a real treat, cross the street and go to Keste where you can have the best of the best.
Showing Chicago boys what good pizza is!
no slices, no credit card accepted. tasty marguerrite pizza w/ captain morgan.
Get the Garlic Rolls!! Get them NOW! Oh, and if you get seated in the front of the restaurant...be sure to check out the ceiling in the back!!
Best pizza in town. And gotta try the ceasar salad.
Best food in NYC!!!
Get here Early, be patient it's worth it!
Lunch for two is no prob getting seated. Billy the bartender is the friendliest guy in this joint.
Has it all - great service, amazing atmosphere (old church) and incredible food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu but you're here for the 'za!
I ate at the bar and received exceptional service, equivalent to four-star pleasant, friendly-but-not-overly-so, deferential, excellently trained service. Closer to Michelin-star than "pizza joint".
garlic roll is a must order at this place
I really really LOVE this place!!!
Chicken Parm is not the best.. Pizza looks like it could be tasty
Most pizza in NYC is pretty much the same, but I was impressed by John's. Every ingredient was fresh and it made for an outstanding pizza.
Amazing pizza. Have the garlic rolls and a pizza pie. Delicious!
Ridiculous that they can't seat us when 8 out of 9 of us are here during lunch!
Awesome venue for pizza, used to be a chapel. There is a really cool diagram on the wall if what Manhattan used to look like.
Garlic rolls are incredible. Texture of a crisp cinnamon roll, but cheese and garlic. Ask for extra marinara sauce.
Not the best NY pizza I've ever had. Artichoke Pizza is much better.
Try John's traditional with pepperoni and fresh basil. You won't regret it!
Margarita with basil. Simple, but the best.
This pizza place is HUGE inside. Perfect for large groups. Located right in the heart of the theater district.
Def blows dick
The garlic rolls are the bees knees!
Priosciutto = ham here
Arrived at 8:40. Waiting time : less than 10mn. Just avoid peak hours before theater !
Accepted my credit card, small pizza big enough for 2 women who like to eat. Nice staff!
Amazing pizza's! So delicious and big too...
Great place to come later at night.
Actually the best pizza in NYC. Try the linguini with pesto sauce, and add chicken cutlet and sun dried tomatoes.
The place reminds me of the Spaghetti Factory except that SF has good food.
Good pizza, ok service, cool location!
The Garlic Rolls are incredible.
Boa pizza recomendo
