Located just two blocks down from Market Square in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Jay's has become an overnight institution among locals who appreciate exceptional seafood.
Snow crab isn't local do I wouldn't bother with that. The flounder is excellent.
Seafood here is the best
The monkfish with the lobster sauce is amazing!
Amazing amazing amazing. Start to finish - no complaints. Oysters, crab, Mahi Mahi and Tuna all super fresh and prepared perfectly. Service was perfect, attentive without being intrusive. Our new fav
Great variety of seafood and oysters! Fresh and delicious!
Awful service. Tiny over-priced portions. Shitty lighting. Place sucks go somewhere else.
Delishhh very very good 👍👍👍👍
Great selection of fresh, local catch and oysters. One of the best restaurants in Portsmouth
Would never come back. Food wasn't good at all.
Try the Pan Seared Yellow Fin Tuna.
I came down here from Providence Rhode Island because of one my friend recommendation. It's worth to drive up here. Amazing seafood. You won't regret!!!
Had the seated tuna with wasabi sauce. It was an out of body experience. Incredible. Calamari was light, spicy and delicious and waitress KJ directed us perfectly.
Oysters are fabulous here!
Shuck for a buck!
WOW! Great food, fun atmosphere & fresh food! Love the sauces sampler with scallops. Pricey, but worth it for a girls night dinner birthday celebration.
Today's my lucky day: oysters a dollar each! Yummy
My favorite seafood restaurant in Portsmouth. Guaranteed fresh, local fish everyday. They never disappoint me.
Try the Raw Oysters And Little Necks - Great flavors, wish they were fully shucked. Both types were still attached to the shells.
The fettuccine with bay scallops was one of the best things I have ever eaten.
Try the Rare Tuna With Mandarin Orange & Wasabi Aioli Glaze - Its so good I can't order anything but.
Most amazing blackened fish tacos.
Raw clams & oysters not best but decent. Get the $20 sampler. Bread comes with delicious olives & roast garlic. BBC (Belvedere Blue Cheese stuffed olives) excellent and dry. Tuna is tasty but small.
Buck a Shuck is back! Every Tuesday for lunch and dinner, $1 oysters.
Try the Rare Tuna With Mandarin Orange & Wasabi Aioli Glaze - Holy yummy
Shuck for a buck Tuesday's nights ... They open at 5:30!
