Junoon’s underground spice room is at the heart of the restaurant’s every dish. Every spice used is ground fresh daily—giving each masala and curry a unique aroma that couldn't be found in a box.
One Michelin star.
Great lamb chops!
Lunchtime thali platters are the best deal at this high-end Flatiron Indian spot.
Selections from Junoon’s underground spice room enliven every dish. Each spice used is ground fresh daily—giving each masala and curry a unique pungency and aroma.

Junoon really shines as it highlights the five traditional styles of Indian cooking: curries and other sauces, tandoor oven, cast iron griddle, stone for searing meats and char broiling.
Come Tuesday or Wednesday night to the bar and you will be serves by the best bartender in NYC - Mike! I love the off menu cocktails - the spicy margarita and the vodka infused with cardamon!
The eggplant chaat is to die for. DO IT!!!!

The best Indian food I have had in States. The Michelin star restaurant.
Great lounge to unwind. Five elements dinner is something you should get for a full blown experience.
Flatiron's Junoon takes Indian cuisine to the next level. This spot covers all bases of Indian cooking, from tandoor to cast-iron & open-fire-pit cooking to stone-searing. We love the Chicken Malvan.
I really liked the place, food, and service but there was no butter chicken/chicken tikka masala.. I'm not coming back :/
The Tandoori Tequila cocktail is the best tequila cocktail this side of the Ganges...

You must get the fried spinach leaves & the cauliflower tree of life!
the lamb chops were excellent
Order the "Palak Patte Ki Chaat" off the appetizer list. It's this delicate fried pieces of baby spinach leaf. Very yummy and delectable starter.
Amazing food, ambiance, and service. Chicken tikkas and Kerala shrimp curry particularly stood out.
The menu has items listed as Gluten-free and they're very knowledgeable about food allergies. This was a night of fine Gluten-free 5 star dining.
The 5 course tasting menu for Valentine's Day was adjusted to be Gluten-free upon request.
The wine sommelier is phenomenal!
Good tasting menu. Try the eggplant salad , very delectable ! Ambience is nice and service excellent. Take a good look at the spice room in the basement. Interesting.
Come early to try a cocktail or two from star bartender Hemant Pathak. Well worth it. Junoon is an amazing experience

So tips from an Indian-the lamb boti kebabs and the tandoori lamb chops are NOT good. Better dishes are the eggplant chaat (kinda), the shahi goat (really good!) and the lamb kolhapuri.
Order turmeric-tinted tandoori poussin with yogurt, Jaipuri bhindi (deep-fried okra), and sticky date-fig gateaux. – Green Guide Editor
Get the dal makhani, it's a really unique spice blend. Pass on the murgh lababdar- the chicken wasn't cooked properly- super tough and in an okay sauce.
Delicious upscale Indian.
Have the tasting menu.
The trio kulfi dessert is amazing. Don't forget to stop by the spice pantry in the basement.

Best Indian food in Manhattan. Loooove this place.
A great place to introduce someone to Indian cuisine; for a more casual but intimate dining experience, ask to be seated in the Patiala Lounge
On behalf of Small Chick Big Deals, thank you for the lovely meal Junoon! Cheers! :)
Their Bourbon Rose cocktail is perfection.
Service is fantastic, but the food still lacks a little. Not overpriced, so id suggest checking out, but don't be surprised if the food is just ok.
Best Lamb Chops you would have ever tasted! Not on menu is Crab Moily a speciality dish with an Indian twist..Chefs Fav- A must try!
Trust the bartender, especially if he's Michael. Go on a tour of off-the-menu whiskey cocktails and you'll never come back. If you're nice, he'll make you a bourbon-honey-ginger-guava slice of heaven.
Came here for dinner and got the tasting menu. I informed my server that I have a shellfish allergy. They brought me lobster. My friend waited for me to get a substitution, so he had to eat cold food
This place is open, contrary to what the status on foursquare suggest. Lunch special is an incredible deal!
