Escargot is a must. Soak up the extra sauce with the French bread. If you have to wait, try out the covered oyster and wine bar. Knowledgeable and passionate staff. Wonderful experience!
Definitely a great date spot.
The pork chop was life changing.
Ambiance is great!
Great ambience, open late, specials on the chalkboard....
The Steak and Fries is great if you aren't too adventurous. Mussels are also popular. Daily specials are on the chalkboard. Fairly small and cozy with an indoor and covered outdoor area.
The steak tartare was full of flavor (don't get if you're on a date/tryna make out! Lots of garlic = delish!) And the scallops were cooked perfectly! Perfect texture (only three tho! ?)
One of Austin's top spots. Amazing French foods and the odd live performance :) Found it here: http://supper.mx/places/justines-brasserie-austin/
Tent and bar built for New Years Eve still up. I think it should stay.
euro french late night fancy eats
I've had the steak and fries so many times, but it never gets old.
Be ready to wait at least an hr, even during the wk. Great wine selection n top shelf cocktails. Their scallops are amazing, the fig cake a la mode is good. Great spot for a date.
Come early or late Fri and Sat. Beautiful venue and intimate atmosphere. Insanely good service and a foodies Bistro
Scallops and Terrible Infant cocktail. Do it!! My fav spot on the eastside!
A perfect spot for an intimate dinner. Some of the best French food in Austin, hands down.
The scallops are delicious
Great vibe! Chill crowd and great food. Good wine list too!
The scallops are AWESOME!
Steak frites, charcuterie, any of their house cocktails, pork chops... These are some of my favorite foods in Austin.
Pretty overrated. This french is nothing special, the interior space is tiny, beer, cocktail and menu selections are very limited, parking and seating nonexistant on a busy night.
Unique, East side hipster'ish hangout. Amazing food and drinks, lovely atmosphere and ambiance.
Great atmosphere! The escargot is amazing.
All I'm going to say: côte de porc.
Try the escargot and the pork chops. A change of pace and great place to try with friends or the visiting family.
Incredible atmosphere, great cocktails, delicious French food and vinyl records get spun behind the bar. Hands down, the coolest restaurant / bar in Austin.
Try the Poached Pear with Wine Gels & Caramel Cocoa Sherbet - #Scrumptious combination! Perfectly poached pear & sherbet isn't too #sweet, unlike the wine gels.
Enfante, Sidecar, French 76
the pork chops are GREAT!The man who seated us was god-awful. I think his name was Justin. He had the audacity to ask if the restaurant was out of my budget, judgemental prick! good food though
Best damn cool restaurant / cocktail bar in Austin - period.
Honestly this is probably my all time favorite restaurant. I love their St. Jardine and the escargot is delicious. Even the burger is fantastic.
Fear not if you're a vegetarian. Their ratatouille is to die for. The entreé size is more than enough to fill your belly. Onion soup was also amazing.
A fantastic burger eaten outside under string lights with a warm spring breeze blowing through.
Food is good but you go for the ambiance. Sit outside, drink some wine and play petanque
Best steak tartare I've had.
Need a cocktail? Order the I'Enfant Terrible. Don't let the name fool you - it's terrific!
Bone marrow and brioche... Who could ask for anything more?
Escargot was not that great. A little too "earthy" and oddly crunchy
Had the steak tartare and the crab salad; both delicious choices and portion sizes are reasonable! Love love love the atmosphere too!
Forget the dessert, save room for the *amazing* coffee!!!!
Great drinks, atmosphere, music. order a coffee, NOT dessert.
Love the pork chop here. But the desserts continually disappoint.
Awesome French restaurant on the east side. A bit romantic.
Kitchen open till 1:30am
The classic French dishes are spot on, and the acoustics cause everyone to lean together and speak conspiratorially. But the ultimate treat is the live music!
My favorite place!
French 75's are a must have. Love the Euro vibe.
You'll need a reservation if your party is 6 or over. Or you can act like my group of friends and just crowd the bar.
the bartender djs vinyl behind the bar & it's always great!
To the jackass that wrote about 'Jaded New Yorkers'... WRONG! JUSTINE'S Is INCREDIBLE! Oh, and good luck trying to throw a stone in NYC... (dummy!)
Stay for a game of bocce, the court is almost always empty
Killer atmosphere (the bartenders play vinyl records!) and killer cocktails. Mosey up to the bar for the best service!
Steak tartar im-presionante in two words
Pretty far on East Side, but worth it. Make a great Old Fashioned and spin only vinyl - very cool.
This out of the way joint us awesome. Cheese plate was delicious! And the duck was great.
Go for the wine, but avoid the cocktails. Shaken Sazaracs and Sidecars with lime juice have no place on a cocktail menu. The $5 house red is a great choice.
Waited so long for our check that we seriously contemplated walking out on this meh food.
Try the French Onion Soup - Amazing with the artichoke!!!
Try the escargot
This tucked-away East side bistro is well worth the trip for its romantic outdoor space, well-executed classic French cuisine, & reasonably-priced wine list. [Eater 38 Member]
The steak tartare is amazing. Dragon breath ensures you won't be making out with anybody afterwards.
Perhaps, this is the best restaurant in Austin! :-)
Don't miss the espresso martini...incredible.
We know, we know, you'll never eat snails, but the sauce on the escargos is so outstanding that you'll forget you're eating a mollusk with only one foot.
My fav place to chill out with friends. 10 points to the Royal with Cheese along with the L'enfant terrible. Can't ask for a more perfect combo
...Atmosphere was really nice and the service was great!
Escargot and muscles were amazing with a bottle of the house red. I've never had a soup here that I didn't like. Atmospher
not the only French place in austin (response to previous tip..) ... only know this because I was just corrected after telling a few ppl. just saying.
Real vinyl blues ;) lovely place
Special: dumplings made out of tilapia and other assorted goodness in a creamy tomato sauce w/ crawfish.
Get the escargot. Perfectly cooked, superb garlic oil.
Steak tartar amazing. Pork chops awesome. Snapper to die for. Escargot is legit.
Try the Escargots à la Bourguignonne!
My favorite in Austin. Hands down.
Try the Striped Bass with Greenbeans
No 2 hour wait if you go on Sunday!
Just decadent. Steak tartare. Escargot. Really good fries. fizzy drinks. cinnamon sorbet. !!!!!!
The French onion soup was amazing!
come prepared with a book, earplugs, a flyswatter, and personal fan
the jaded new yorkers can throw a stone from any neighborhood and hit 5 restaurants better than this.
Great french food!
Duck is fantastic!
Have the duck with a bottle of the house red. It will take you straight to Paris...without the language barrier.
have the house red wine...corbieres. great!
only French place in Austin
Go to Justine's Brasserie and
Cool as shit!!!
