Staff is friendly and helpful. But the rooms could be better. disappointing quality for the reputation and pricr of the hotel
Beware the 8ft tall and lanky lounge Nazi. Couldn't cut it as a stewardess (or perhaps it was her fear of flying) she takes pride in policing the Proletariat who patronize the lounge.
One of the most popular place in town
Awesome hotel with great views of the park
Central Park is right there.
Lejos de la vista del parque es mejor la habitación porque no es tan ruidoso
So worth paying the extra for a room facing Central Park!
The absolute best hotel in New York (and I've probably stayed in at least a two dozen). But get ready to pay a fortune for everything ... including wi-fi and room service.
Been standing in line to check in for 15 mins! So far, not impressed.
There's not a whole bunch to choose from delicacies for brunch. The price was hefty as well. Go to Sarabeth's nearby instead
Now that ths falls under the Marriott umbrella standards have been raised at this famous hotel. this has to be the flagship JW.!
Cesar at the front desk is a true asset to the Essex staff. Great hotel, great service. Love it!
Had a box overnight mailed and they lost it for several hours. $400/night for service like that? I know it's NYC, but $25.00 for continental breakfast?
My favourite New York hotel, the service is exceptional.
Todo espectacular, super ubicación
Nice hotel if you wanna take a rest before you start the olympics around the avenues :)
Really disappointed. Over $500 a night booked well in advance. Elite member. Asked for high floor and got 3rd floor overlooking generators, dreary room, old; nothing like the photos.
2500 points per night until lounge is ready for Platinum members.
Outstanding. Highly recommended for your next visit to NYC
Not yet really a "Marriott" hotel -- extra points is no replacement for the services of a real JW. :-(
Stay at the marquis they understand Marriott service too many staffers are from the old brand and don't get it yet
In a land of great hotel bars, this one is terrible. I hope Marriott takes notes from the ritz, st Regis, and the plaza (all nearby) and steps it up!
If I'm Not Staying At The Trump I'm Staying Here.. #DjLife
See Patrick for all your needs while you stay at Essex. Incredible and unparalleled service!
Get the central park view
Try the Essex Signature Massage, perfect for de-stressing.
A great place for afternoon tea!
Unwind with afternoon tea
sincerity in their effort to assist. great front desk, doormen, and Concierge. best location to access all points of Manhattan
Beautiful suite with a fabulous view of Central Park!
Wonderful front desk staff.
Nice staff! Front desk helpful and doorman flagged a cab for me in 2min!
I enjoy this place
Sarabeth's, just down the road towards 5th, is a great place for breakfast. Try the Papa Bear porridge!
If you have multiple devices you want to connect to the internet hook up a mac via ethernet, pay for that and share its internet over wifi!
Having a nice dinner in my room and getting ready for a shower
The Beds are so nice and unlike most hotels the items in rooms aren't cheap. The TV is HD and is really nice along with other items in room. Food is pricey but amazing. Wifi in rooms but costs.
Espresso martini is put of this world
Suite is the bomb. Love it.
Scallops are excellent Good restaurant.
Just not the same since new ownership. I know. Stayed here w/family for 20 years, 3x a year.
Just awesome! We were on the 38th floor and Central park was right there in the window! Outstanding service:-)
