In New York? Eat meat? Love pickles? You must go to this classic Jewish deli. Bring an appetite and cash (no cards). Have a Cel-Ray soda. Waddle out the door. Don't lose your ticket!
Loved the matzoh ball soup
Pastrami of course
Pastrami with rye sandwich
Try pastrami sandwich w/ mustard and pickles, on the side get the Matzo soup and Katz's ale
Perfection in the form of pastrami.
Pastrami on rye throw some Cole slaw on top with a cream soda on the side. Justin the matradee was awesome in getting us a table. It's people like him that give Katz a good name
Pastrami with Cole slaw and cream soda
Not as good as my childhood memories but if you want pastrami downtown . (and dont mind the price) Its still the place to go. And it still looks the same as 30 years ago.
Famous deli. Pastrami is a must
If its your first time, make sure you're sober. They have this whole orange ticket situation that is very hard to process after a night out.
Great matzo ball soup
The pastrami with mustard is well worth the hype.
You've got to get the pastrami sandwich with fries! IMO one sandwich is enough for two, it's so big!
Go when it's not too crowded and still wait in line. It's worth it. Grab a corned beef or pastrami sandwich. They'll mix too if asked. Pickles are solid. Grab some latkas and matzo ball soup too
Americans and their high piles of meat...
Pastrami and soup
Pastrami sandwich on rye is amazing, pickles are great but the pea soup is the best thing ever!
A must in NY. Tourist trap. Great foid. Good staff. This place is packed
Pastrami and fries
Pastarmi on rye and the egg shake is the perfect combination.
Absolute must!! Pastrami and Rubens sandwiches are amazing. Don't lose your ticket! Cash only.
Go for early lunch to avoid rush, before 12, tip the meat cutters
Pastrami on rye, Reuben, pickles, cokeslaw
Super iconic kosher deli. Get your ticket and do not lose it. Pastrami, corned beef, matzah ball soup and a knish delish.
The pastrami is amazing
Always good but the lines. 😩
Don't fall into this trap. Absolutely nothing special about the sandwiches. Had the pastrami with mustard. DEFINITELY not worth going out of your way to eat here. Not to mention its way overpriced.
Pastrami really is that good
Good sandwich but crazy expensive. Make sure to keep your ticket!
Pricey Pastrami Reuben on toasted rye can be for 2. Best pastrami & pickles from THE NYC DELI (est.1910). Lk 4 Billy Crystal & Megan Ryan's famous "O"-scene table in 1989 movie "When Harry Met Sally."
Still the best Pastrami anywhere. Try the Matzo Ball soup & fries as well. Skip the soda, there is self serve water in the back.
Pastrami sandwich. Just go for it.
Good drunk food, but this place is over-priced and over-hyped. It will be hard to explain to your drunk friend why you both bought $25 sandwiches when there's a bodega down the street.
Pastrami forever. Don't miss the potato knish. Fries are good too if you're into steak cut. Also you can never have enough Russian dressing.
Melt in your mouth pastrami
Overrated long lines and disgusting bathroom
Pastrami and Corned Beef Sandwich
Pastrami sandwich is just yum yum yum :)
Pastrami is everything
They don´t close at the weekend. It´s one of the best ideas if you need a tongue sandwich at four or five o'clock on Saturday morning.
The best pastrami sandwich you can eat
Be prepared to spend a lot of money for a really awesome pastrami sandwich.
