Line moves fairly fast. The curry beef noodle is good but on the spicier side.
I did like my bowl of beef tendon curry and he loved his beef brisket beef broth... Slippery floor and unapologetic HK attitude
Don't be scared by the line, it goes fast, and get the beef tendon with curry.
Well it's safe to say I did not regret standing in the queue for 30 minutes for my delicious bowl of beef slice noodles. Was absolutely mouth watering.
Beef noodles :-)
Lives up to its famous name. Very delicious and worth it! 👍🏻👍🏻 tried the curry and clear broth
Beef brisket is a must!
Really good beef noodle soup, highly recommend their curry e-noodle!! Keep in mind.. might be a 30 mins wait, below average service and sharing table with others.
Nice beef noodles. Different. Clearer texture. Long queues and very cramped eating. Be careful too, floor is oily and slippery.
Is it worth the wait? Yup! If super hungry order two bowls or split an extra one with a friend
I passed by this place everyday because it's so close to my place. There's forever a queue of tourists. I walked in today around 10 when there's no line. I ordered curry beef noodle soup. So good!
Overrated and therefore, overpriced for what it is. Beef is too chewy and flavourless. Soup is at best, on par with any old koay teow th'ng you'll find in Penang.
I really liked their noodles with beef brisket.
The line looks really long but goes quickly if you're just 1-2 people.
Super duper good!!! Local food must try!!
if you're getting takeaway, no need to wait in line. if you do you will upset the lady.
probably the best beef noodle stew i have had. broth in the regular noodle soup is amazing and fragrant, and the curry is smooth and comforting. strong recommend.
Excellent beef brisket & efau noodles. I've been told it's best of the kind in HK. Indeed is very tasty. Don't look for anything fancy: you cue to enter, you sit, you eat, you leave.
Environment itself could be improved but soup and noodles are truly delicious. Beef very tender. Must try in HK!
Totally worth the wait!!!
Always wanted to try their beef brisket. Local favorite hence expect to Q. Small and cramp place but with good ventilation. Would love to try their curry next round. Note the staffs may not be polite
If two bowls is too much, get the beef brisket noodles and a side of the curry (only 10 HKD). Dip some of the noodles and beef into the curry and enjoy.
If you go for a late dinner, you can skip the queue.
The beef noodle soup is amazing
Very tasty noodle.
Cheap and efficient in typical Hong Kong style. The best beef brisket in HK
The curry beef brisket noodles was good but the clear beef brisket noodles can be better. The consistently long queue really puts me off too
Long queue, small portion but its really god damn delicious
Excellent beef brisket. Curry beef noodles is my favourite. Queues out of the door are there for good reason.
Taking photo from the end of the queue. Avoid lunch time if you can as the noodles are not fully cooked during rush hours. Beef brisket is good though
opens at 1230 and be ready to queue. go for the 牛腩伊麵,
Brisket like butter with rice noodles in a cramped space. Chinese penicillin.
Beef brisket is amazing
Just the best beef brisket in town. Don't be scared by the crowds the service fast😄 Tip: try also the competitive beef brisket at #sisterwah at Tin Hau - still a secret but also sooo good!😍
Cons: You have to wait one hour outside to get your beef brisket noodles. Pros: Daimn... it's worth it.
Famed outlet specializing in Beef Brisket/Beef noodles. Choice of Yee Mee, thick noodle in Traditional broth or Curry sauce. Traditional broth is excellent. Be prepared to queue.
Long queue and small portion
This is a nice restaurant. The food is very good and cheap, however I think people on Foursquare are a bit overhyped. Great experience overall, but don't forget you'll have little time to eat.
The beef noodle was soooo delicious.
The best beef brisket on the northern part of HK island!
It's everything is cracked up to be; crowded, grumpy waiters and great beef brisket noodles. Don't expect good service, but expect the best beef brisket in Hong Kong.
Like all good food in HK, there is always a queue. Kau Kee doesn't disappoint; tender chunks of braised beef, although you need to pick the right noodles. Curry beef also worth a try! 7/10
Line out the door at 5:30 pm on a Saturday night. The locals must know something.
Was a little intimidated to eat here bc it's a very local, brusque place, but am happy I did. Dinner for 3 people came to $205 HKD. Beef tendon & curry e-fu noodles + iced coffee for me!
The beef brisket soup or curried beef brisket soup is the bees knees. Less thank $1US and you'll be craving it forever
Decent beef noodle!!!
Favourite beef brisket noodle shop in Hong Kong. Really poor service but nobody seems to care. Used to like the curry one more, but these days I prefer the clear broth one
Feels like you're eating in a very public washroom- definitely worth trying for local experience. Gigantic amount of noodles in a tiny bowl, curry is strong and greasy.
