Bringing back the cultural cafe experience in today's modern world. A place where people can stop, breathe, meet their neighbors, socialize and connect all over a perfectly crafted espresso drink, cocktail and bite in a relaxed well designed setting.
If you have your own hotspot and it is nice outside, the outdoor area is great for working. Otherwise, the lack of public wifi and limited indoor seating mean you should find another spot.
They've closed the garden for good as of 2013 in order to save money on rent. Coffee is good, and there are some seats inside and on the sidewalk. No wifi tho.
The garden is beautiful! Espresso is very good and more Italian style (less intense/overwhelming than your average american hipster espresso).
Wine in the garden after work was lovely, until the "whoa"... closed at 8:30 p.m. It's a coffee place after all. A lovely garden and great coffee!
After you place your order, walk through the red door in the back for the spacious garden. A great summertime place for breakfast and a book.
The little breakfast frittata is so good and the sandwiches are delicious. The coffee is perfect!
Great cappuccinos, very cute garden out back, and the best destination in the meat packing area for coffee. Will def be a regular here!
Fantastic espresso, surprisingly friendly and welcoming environment for such a high-end place. Grab a canelé if you can!
Try the Fritata Brioche - Such a delicious layers of cream cheese, tomato and eggs snuck inside a brioche.
When you order a cortardo, make sure they don't think you said frittata. There's no latte art on those.
Excellent coffee, great decor, awesome garden in the back and stays open fairly late. It's a Meatpacking Zen Gem.
Not aging well. They added a TV, got rid of the gelato counter and converted to US size portions/cups.
Kava is where I fell in love with Machiattos. Great backyard seating when the weather is nice.
Interesting spot playing football complete with bagels and pre-made sandwiches. Killer macchiato.
Great for $5 lattes and trendy rich-people watching... If you're into that sort of thing
Interesting combination of a place with demanding coffee and a night club/bar (art deco) atmosphere.
A source for great coffee near the High Line in an attractively designed spot.
Super nice. Came from working out and only had Amex which they don't take. Let me have my coffee and told me to come back another day and pay
Their mocha n lattes are the best! Don't forget to check out the garden!
This seems to be my spot for warming up, cooling off and drying off before or after visiting the Highline Park.
Love the cappuccino at this joint. And don't forget to check out the back patio.
I love this place, but the prices went up significantly...$4 for an ice coffee is unacceptable.
If you're having a bad day... Pop in! There are some entertaining hats to cheer you up.
Try the Iced Coffee - Say hello to Claire, a @Foodspotting fan, and have an iced coffee in the garden...
Don't go here when its busy. Youll wait 20 minutes, they'll forget your scone
Ask for the sandwich and soup combo only $10 bucks
Great coffee but avoid on Sunday mornings, the line is super long.
The staff wears fedoras! Kinda cool, plus they have the best coffee in wv!
There is an adorable social cat in the back garden. I don't know if she is staying but I hope she is
If they have the orange brioche in... A must try treat to get your day going!
Try the Cortada - Prepped by a very stylish barista.
Nothing like grabbing a morning coffee from Kava, and then take a short walk at the high line.
Cozy, cute place and the cortado was quite good.
Nice garden in the back, if the weather cooperates.
Try the Cappuccino - This might be the best one in NYC
Don't miss the garden. It's through the cafe and out back.
Their espresso has a high level of acidity.
8 yrs in ny & think this is my favorite coffee. Factor in the garden & I know it is
Great location. Have any espresso drink.
Roman and williams designed this space, check out the oak starbust and other details. Sick.
Best coffee shop in town! Grab it to go and head to the water
Try the Coconut Macaroons - A nice mix at a nice shop
Great coffee, nice staff! And soooooo close from home :)))
Give yourself more time than usual to soak up the sunshine in their garden.
Iced cappucino in a glass is a good call if its steamy outside
Perfect stop to savor an espresso in between CitiBikes!
Fantastic private garden in back!
Great to sit outside in the garden - even in winter!
