Bringing back the cultural cafe experience in today's modern world. A place where people can stop, breathe, meet their neighbors, socialize and connect all over a perfectly crafted espresso drink, cocktail and bite in a relaxed well designed setting.
Great coffee, nice staff! And soooooo close from home :)))
Nothing like grabbing a morning coffee from Kava, and then take a short walk at the high line.
I love the decor of this place! The baristas were nice enough. The prices were pretty steep. The coffee is otherwise good. I got a cortado and thought it to be good enough.
No garden in the back anymore :(
It's a small, cute place with great atmosphere, coffee and food. We got a Cortado, a Cappuccino and a Chai Latte and they were really good. The owner is awesome but the service is lacking.
Whole grain bagel are so good
Not aging well. They added a TV, got rid of the gelato counter and converted to US size portions/cups.
Interesting spot playing football complete with bagels and pre-made sandwiches. Killer macchiato.
Cozy, cute place and the cortado was quite good.
Good soy latte!!!
Great iced vanilla latte. Backyard looked cool but was closed
Their espresso has a high level of acidity.
Best espresso in the area
Great for $5 lattes and trendy rich-people watching... If you're into that sort of thing
Kava is where I fell in love with Machiattos. Great backyard seating when the weather is nice.
If you have your own hotspot and it is nice outside, the outdoor area is great for working. Otherwise, the lack of public wifi and limited indoor seating mean you should find another spot.
Hang out in the shaded garden after a walk down the high line. Nice
Beautiful garden in the back.
Perfect stop to savor an espresso in between CitiBikes!
If they have the orange brioche in... A must try treat to get your day going!
Not as good as since but still nice
They dont serve kava. I walked way too far for this crap.
The little breakfast frittata is so good and the sandwiches are delicious. The coffee is perfect!
The garden is beautiful! Espresso is very good and more Italian style (less intense/overwhelming than your average american hipster espresso).
Try the blueberry iced tea!:)
Try the Fritata Brioche - Such a delicious layers of cream cheese, tomato and eggs snuck inside a brioche.
Iced cappucino in a glass is a good call if its steamy outside
This seems to be my spot for warming up, cooling off and drying off before or after visiting the Highline Park.
There is an adorable social cat in the back garden. I don't know if she is staying but I hope she is
Amazing Cortada and Parfait.
Ask for the sandwich and soup combo only $10 bucks
It's worth it just to go hang out at the garden.
A source for great coffee near the High Line in an attractively designed spot.
Best coffee and sandwiches ever
Wine in the garden after work was lovely, until the "whoa"... closed at 8:30 p.m. It's a coffee place after all. A lovely garden and great coffee!
Interesting combination of a place with demanding coffee and a night club/bar (art deco) atmosphere.
Don't miss the garden. It's through the cafe and out back.
Great to sit outside in the garden - even in winter!
Watch out - juice is $9
When you order a cortardo, make sure they don't think you said frittata. There's no latte art on those.
Try the Cortada
The staff wears fedoras! Kinda cool, plus they have the best coffee in wv!
Try the Cortada - Prepped by a very stylish barista.
Try the Iced Coffee - Say hello to Claire, a @Foodspotting fan, and have an iced coffee in the garden...
The corrado is perfect. - Fred Wilson
Best cappuccino in the hood
10 dollars for carrot juice. WTF.
