2012 Visitors' Choice Award Winner for Favorite Art Gallery
The permanent collection, temporary exhibitions, free public programs, special events, and the ever-popular Café Sebastienne provide endless opportunities for education and entertainment.
Not much of realism art, if any at all. Just my personal preference. Not into abstract, kind of a waste of time. Staff was very nice though.
A small (and free!) gem of a modern art gallery. It has pieces from big names (Warhol and O'Keefe), excellent photography and sculpture collections and a very good on-site cafe.
Go on an empty stomach so you can enjoy lunch at the Museum's acclaimed restaurant, Cafe Sebastianne.
The abstracts on display right now are amazing and I don't usually like abstracts. There is a great Cindy Sherman photo in the back gallery.
Terrific place to take a quick revitalizing break. Lunch (Cafe Sebastienne) and stunning art. Not so big, so not something that will swallow your day. Just right.
David Bates: The Katrina Paintings is stunning & haunting. Worth the trip. Through August 22,2010
