Very picturesque mountain, not overly challenging trails.
Huge mountain with skiing for all skill levels. Can get crowded though.

Don't be a sheep, park by Bear Mtn lodge, the runs and lifts are much less crowded and their lodge is better. Plus they've got really nice blues and blacks on that side.
stay at Greenbrier Inn they have $60 midweek lift tickets (actual tickets not vouchers) no standing in line go right to the lifts. $75 weekend and peak lift tickets. Good at Killington and PICO.
Bear Mountain's Devil's Fiddle is the best run on the hill when its open.
The empanadas at Ana's empanada warming hut next to the Northbrook Quad are probably the most interesting food on the mountain. Too bad there isn't more seating! Also the sangria is pretty tasty.
If you like skiing - then you will love Killington. They have a bunch of skiing here and all of it is awesome!
Great for snowboarding
Don't buy lift passes online. You'll save a few dollars but, you wait in line for 30 minutes to pick them up. Buy at the kiosk and save the frustration.
Use the bag check! Some brat stole stole my stuff yesterday.
The Vail Parking Lot is the best place to unload and ski back to your car.
Peak lodge is nice.

They don't run hot water to the bathroom sinks. Don't try this usually successful method of warming your hands up; it won't work.
Had lessons the first day (Oliver was great!) & up to the "real" mountain today. I hear the waffles are great. & be sure to get an Express Pass if you're military.
Baked potato is the best value for lunch. Make sure to load up on toppings from the fixins bar.

If you and your family don't clear out of the parking lot fast enough, Bruce the parking attendant will encourage incoming cars to hit you and your things!!
Crowded days head over to Pico Mountain right down the road. The bar tender at the Last Run Lounge is awesome!
Don't eat the yellow snow.
Outer Limits is a must ski. Probably the best and most challenging mogul skiing on the East Coast. Consider yourself warned ;)

Racers edge is so sick when the snow is deep, super gnarly surf style run.
By all means avoid school vacation weeks (and weekends).
Listen to Ratatat while you ski or ride
Don't fall on your shoulder! Broken collarbones are no fun.
Ski conditions were good, some icy spots, staff was friendly. A little expensive for a lift ticket, but worth it for the amount of trails.

Don't forget your lift ticket is also valid at Pico Mountain. Take a left at the bottom of the access road. Pico is 2 miles ahead on your left.
