It is exactly like the DMV, so bring a book/laptop and resign yourself to spending a day or two sitting and waiting. If you do that, it's actually kind of nice.

Absolutely NO hats inside Judge Chow's courtroom (rm 341). One minute late? A warrant will issue. No exceptions. You've been warned.

Arrive early! Security line is long and unless that's your idea of a good time, you should consider using the tunnel entrance from the KC Admin Bldg.

Avoid the crammed 3rd Ave entrance- use KC Admin bldg on 4th & down one floor to the Tunnel. Free WiFi in Jury waiting though!

Courtroom E-942 has only one accessible power outlet: beneath the 5th window from the back of the courtroom between the pews. Handy when waiting days for jury selection and you need to charge up!

If you're serving jury duty make sure you bring a book or a laptop. You'll be sitting waiting for most of the day.
