I have yet to taste burgers better than the ones at Korzo Haus: fried Hungarian burgers at its best. Still my favourite burger joint in NYC if not the world. Unfortunately it's cash only.

Wow what a great little spot! Get the organic ale & dumplings to start. BUT, the original Korzo Burger with well done bacon, w/ both their ketchup and Hungarian hot sauce is to die for.

Perhaps the best burger I've had in my life. Pastry dough wraps an ideal ratio of beef, bacon, and cheese. Comes with mayo, pickled cabbage, apple slices. Beet and homemade ketchup on side. Perfect.

Obviously the burgers are the greatest in lower manhattan (fried!) but if you're in need of a spicy hearty winter treat their goulash isn't to be missed. Filling with the right burn and leftovers!!

The burgers, it's obviously about the burgers, it's only about the burgers. The original or Otto, med rare and fried, with the sweet potato fries and house ale. Can't go wrong.

Good low-key joint - very small. Get the Original burger: Meat itself is bland, but fresh. Condiments, fried bun, and sides are what make it so tasty. Aioli mayo is amazing - I don't even like mayo.

The glorious patty is wrapped not in a bun but "a fine bread made according to an old Slovak family recipe", and then effing deep fried. It's also got applewood-smoked bacon, and Emmental cheese. Read more

One of the more unusual burgers I have ever had, but in no way is it just a gimmick. The fried bread keeps all the ingredients in and it is fantastic.

One of the best burgers I ate in NY. It's closed now so you have to go to the one in Brooklyn. Quality is the same.

At Happy Hour M-Th 5-7pm for $10 get a pint of the very very good house draft plus the outrageous signature deep-fried burger. Bonus: Super nice staff, cozy space.

Quality burgers. Really, it's hard to find anything wrong with deep frying a patty in the bun. The house beer is delicious too.

The deep fried burger is not as scary in real life as it is on paper. The fryer is the right temperature so it's not a grease bomb. Basically a good burger wrapped in a savory donut.

Try the original Korzo burger...fried bread filled with fresh ground beef patty, apple smoked bacon, allgauer emmentaller cheese, mustard, and dill pickle.

The veggie burgers here are surprisingly satisfying and hearty. If you're not vegetarian, add bacon to it for some extra meatiness ;)

love the otto, all the burgers wrapped in hungarian fried bread (like a burger inside a donut, but not at all greasy). amazing staff. cash only.

You haven't lived until you've housed a plate of halusky w/ bryndza-Slovak feta & a pint of Korzo organic ale.

Both the beers are great (organic one is better). The sausages were just okay and the noodle-thing is basically mac & cheese. Worth coming back for a round 2 me thinks tho. ps: No wine.

Bacon wrapped figs are better here than at Kafana on Ave C. The fried bread is tasty and cheap. The dumplings have a great sweet and sour sauce.

Had the Wunderwurst Platter...delicious platter with bratwurst, hungarian sausage and kielbasa. :) Also the blue cheese stuffed prunes wrapped in bacon were mind blowing.

I already know this is a stupid thing to like when there's a fried burger on my plate, but I'll be goddamned if I didn't actually enjoy that slaw instead of tolerate it.
