Brilliant pizza and superb service, unbeaten combo!
Elizabeth Falkner’s wood-burning pizza place serves classic pies, pasta dishes, and Italian desserts.
Great food and super-nice folks. Loved the rice balls, garlic knots and of course the pizza. Worth the trip wherever you are.
The Bianca pizza was so good. Ingredients perfectly paired in a delicious thin crust.
Don't miss out on the awesome kale salad.
$12 Margherita and beer. Delicious!
Finocchio flower power and Bianca are both fabulous pizzas - made by Falkner herself. So was the simple pasta. Cool to see Next Food Network Star's winner Justin Werner sitting at the bar.
The Cure is The Truth.
Finocchio Flower Power pizza is indeed fantastic. The tartufo is delicious and the bartenders make some fantastic drinks - we had a lovely time.
Switching from pastry to pizza, Elizabeth Faulkner opened in summer of 2012. Her Finocchio Flower Power Pizza won first prize at the World Pizza Championships.
Excellent pizza - forgo the pasta!
Come to New York to eat pizza from SF
They need a lot of help on their carry out services. Can't call ahead and usually no bags. That said, food is tasty.
It's no surprise the Finocchio Flower Power pizza won the world pizza championship, its probably one of the best pizzas I've tasted. The fennel sausage is abaolutely superb!
The Californication pizza is so delicious with the combination of arugula, goat cheese and prociutto. The heat from the padron peppers just takes this pizza to another level!
The arancini con pesto di prezzemolo is just an amazing appetizer: saffron riceballs cooked perfectly with a great crunch and complimentes with the wonderful pesto.
No reservations now. Not worth 30+ min wait.
With everyone on the Flower Power pizza, the cavalo nero salad is great, and Six Point Crisp is $4 which is basically PBR priced.
For pizza, we recommend the Finocchio Flower Power ($16). Desserts like the Cannolo and Tartufo are definite winners.
Pro: They gave our toddler a chunk of raw pizza dough to play with while we waited (nice touch). Con: The pizzas took a loonnnng time to arrive. Tasty pies, for sure, but not the pizza of dreams.
Chef Elizabeth Falkner was featured at Cochon 555 2013 in New York City.
After moving to NYC from San Francisco in 2012, chef Elizabeth Falkner opened this Brooklyn pizza shop.
Check that they've got sufficient supplies before you wait: after more than an hot waiting, they RAN OUT IF PIZZA DOUGH. What. Yes. Exactly.
The restaurant fills up after 7 so come early or be prepared to wait a little. The bartenders are quite friendly and the drinks are thoughtful and delicious!!
Pizza's solid, service is hilariously bad, but all that's forgiven by the gianduja tartufo to cap off the meal.
No more inexpensive wine!
They can make any of their pizzas gluten-free: the Californication was fantastic. Also get the sparkling red wine and the tartufo (which can be made gluten-free as well).
Being that this is Elizabeth Falkner's restaurant, be sure to get dessert. The tartufo is absolutely amazing.
Pete Wells raves about the Finocchio Flower Power pizza, "an essay on the theme of fennel."
Spaghetti with pomodoro is stunningly fresh.
Sit near the pizza oven for some added warmth. Don't be afraid to chat up Chef Falkner if she's not crazy busy. She's very nice
Don't bother getting the Olive Fritte since they start you off with a plate of free olives. Winners, Finocchio Flower Power and the Bianca pizzas.
Try the special pizza of the day!
The Rosa Nera is amazing. Rosemary infused vodka, all you need to know.
DON'T LISTEN TO THE YELPERS . The food here so so yummy everyone goes for the pizza which is great, but try the pasta's which are even better! and of course the drinks. Moses is a real hottie!
you really wanna have the Californication, is so good that it made me wanna eat 3 if I could. Cocktails are fantastic, try the Derringer, Eva Peron and the Mela Amara. Desserts are on my next visit.
This place is freekin' amazin'!! I got a strange look when I ate my dinner backwards: Tartufo, Californication, Riceballs
Gianduja tartufo is *amazing*. Definitely leave room for dessert.
Popped in for dinner and tried a couple apps, salad, pizza and dessert. Really enjoyed the rice balls and the potato pizza! Service was lacking but it just opened so will let that slide this time.
Incredible fritto misto.
