Bring a friend, and share an order of the Kuban roast pork. You’ll receive a bowl piled high with tender mojo-marinated pork, black beans and rice, and lightly fried, smashed plantains.

Brunch is great, sandwiches are delicious, cafe con leche & platanos are must-have items. On a budget, go for moros y cristianos or get paella vegetariana (it's big enough to split or take 1/2 home).

An beloved neighborhood restaurant, the food is well worth the wait. Don't forget to always save room for the Tres leches, Food Network even featured the dessert on The Best Thing I Ever Ate.

Low key restaurant with high quality food at a reasonable price. Been coming here for 15 years and never had a bad meal. P.S wear washable clothes, you'll smell like the restaurant when you leave.

It's a small place, so make sure your whole party is there before you try for a table. Also, sit at the bar if it's just you and watch them work in the open grill kitchen.

Go for brunch, get The California Rancheros, the best take on Huevos Rancheros I've ever had. My own will now be molded after this delectable dish of pintos & eggs.

When I was here a year ago, the portobello press & plantains were dry, bland. But today, the California huevos & plantains were the best food decision I've made in awhile. Good work, will return!

Everything is good. Try the tostones or empanadillas to start. Order the Cuban sandwich or California Huevos. Don't leave without a Cuban coffee and Tres Leches Cake.

Had a very long wait for lunch around 1:30 because they were packed but it worth it. Tres leches cake, everyone is right- try it! Generous portions for your meal.

Best Cuban sandwiches around. They also are one of the few places to serve Jupina (pineapple soda) and plantains. If you have a sweet tooth be sure to buy both.

The bread on the side, with the palm leaf baked into the top, certifies the authenticity of the family-owned, 15-year-old establishment.

Portabello Press is vegetarian friendly and enough to take home for a second meal! Also recommend the black bean soup if you're less hungry.

Stay away from the Cuban, get the tres Leches cake, the empandillos and the cup of black bean soup with cornbread. So cheap $13 for all of it and we were stuffed and happy. It's amazing

Mediocre. The ropa vieja was dry and way under-salted. The place has a nice student hangout vibe, and their lunch/breakfast menu looks more interesting, but dinner was not good.
