Bring snacks, water, and good walking shoes, and plan to spend half your day here. They sell sandwiches but are expectedly overpriced.

Summer tickets for main palace are very hard to get ahead of time. Generalife gardens: poorly signposted and no information. Tip: before going, read up on it first

Must visit if you're near Granada, but not so much if you're far away. The complex is great and offers great views over Granada and taste a bit of Moorish architecture

  • Babbo N.

Incredible! Buying tickets without reservation was possible at 9:30 with just 3 minutes waiting time (June 2015)

Tickets can be bought on the same day if you get there just before 8. The 2nd queue for ticket machines is much faster (only credit cards). Also there's coffee and snacks machines next to the toilets.

we went there in winters, there are two queues, one for cash and the other one for credit cards. Credit card one moves quickly, don't bother with the cash one. There is wifi, whole visit is 4 hrs...

If you booked online, you must present the same credit card that you used for booking. Otherwise they will not let you have your tickets. That's the only way they use for authenticating clients... 😡
