People tend to check in during these times:
Love this place. Everything is terrific!
The guacamole is the bomb.... Number 18....
The best thing this place has going are its freshly made tortillas. Its platters are forgettable and usually doused in too much cream. Stick to the tacos and quesadillas and grab a Jamaica to drink.
Amazing food!!! Cash only. Julia Childs knows her mexican food. Authentic and and cheap.
Best Pozole I have ever had. Must stop if you are taking 101 from LA to SF.
This place is the bomb! there is a reason Katy Perry gives a shout out to this place in her song "This is how we do". My fave is the bacon cheese quesadilla!
Spectacular Mexican food. Not your typical fast food Americanized food. Try the rajas and Super-Rica Especial for something different but delicious!
Expect long lines on weekends
Bring your kid here and hypnotize them with the delicious food. The tamale, steak tacos and pork lomita were great. Rajas were so-so.
Everything is excellent at this place. I think this would be my last meal!
Calabacitas! Pork tacos! Everything!
Tortillas are made on the spot!
The chorizo and the hand made tortillas, best ever. Love the casual vibe. I'd eat there over Los Agaves any day.
Everything is good, chorizo, la Superica special
It takes a little while, but well worth the wait. The meat is delicious and the menu contains lots of queso.
Lives up to the hype. Possibly the best tacos I've ever had. Cash only and long lines so plan head. Over order but always get at least one order of the chorizo and cheese taco.
This cash only establishment is the best Mexican food in Santa Barbara. A Vegetarian chile rellano will melt in your mouth and you will want to bathe in the horchatta :)
The best food south of the border I've ever had. No doubt! Thank you Isidoro for keeping it real for all these years. I regret not taking that job you offered me many years ago. A missed opportunity.
The line is longer than you think. It's the slowest taco stand line ever.
Their horchata is the best I've ever found in Santa Barbara, and they are masters at pork! Get the Super Rica Especial!
Chile rellenos all the way!
Hand made to order tortillas? Yes please...also delicious pasillas!
#12 is amazing
Not worth the wait at all. Milpas St has 29 other great taquerias and these guys put put one helva lot of peppers on everything. Nice people, fair rate. Gr8 4 those of you that like waiting in line!
lives up to the hype. Decent veg options!
Before you die, come here.
Simply the best! A must try! Bring cash
Beat tacos in SB!!
If you are in the area, this is a must. Simple, delicious and so flavorful. Tacos done right.
What a gem! #10 #12 and #16 were on point- basically any one with cheese will do. #7 was a bit bland. Small portions so you can try a lot! And I did.
Excellent chuleta, and the lomito suizo is no slouch either. Gordita is spicy but no tears.
been eating here since 1982. Worth the wait in line. Superica especial and chorizo tacos. Willing to drive here from Idaho now!! Everything is delicious
When asked if you would like a small or large horchata, large is the correct answer.
If the pork and hominy stew is up, get it. Worth a stop on the drive from SD to SF.
Cash only, authentic Mexican food. My first time eating here I saw Rob Lowe dining with Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. Great experience
Sunset Magazine (July 2012) - Milpas St.'s Mexican dive is famous for serving freshly made antojitos. Try: La SuperRica Especial (marinated pork and cheese stuffed pasilla chile
Sopas!!! Everything is good.
Just so you know...there are no burritos here. Just taco variations.
Be prepared to stand in line on weekends - it's well worth the wait.
Make sure you bring CASH for your meal, since they don't take credit or debit cards. There's an ATM just down the street near the liquor store if you're in a pinch. :)
Number 12 is the best!
Absolute yum for a great price...cheap:-)
The handmade tortillas are better than anything you can get at a supermercado.
They don't take credit card, so bring cash.
