Fullla flavah. Go get some.
Best chai+samosa around
Chai tea, even on a hit day!
Homely chicken curry
For $6 you'll get a big plate of biryani and chickpeas. Think about a cart chicken over rice and make it 2x as good. A little ding for the lack of yogurt availability, but I'll survive
Great prices, authentic food, and friendly people. Very little space to eat, but it's a good grab-and-go spot. Amazing samosas.
They make the first batch of fresh biryani at 11am for the cabbie lunch rush and the next batch at 3:30pm. Also try the fantastic meat-filled pastry puffs.
Samosas are wonderful, so is the rest of the food selection. Chai is yummy!!!
$1.50 chai makes you wonder why you ever pay $4 for lesser chai
The chai here is hands down the best I've had in NYC. Chai is always brewed fresh and never stored in a thermos so you get a piping hot cup of chai every time. Flavored with a hint of Cardamom.
Best no frills lunch in the neighborhood - also rotational menu is tops
$1 samosas in soho?!?!
Skip the chicken biryani and get the large three-veggie plate, featuring a rotating cast of deliciousness (the eggplant is the best though).
Delicious Indian and 24hours!
Lentil soup is delicious and dirt cheap
Hole in the wall where all the cabbies go so you know it's authentic. Best samosa in the city, and the chai and chicken sandwich are tasty too.
Get a lunch special. Bed of rice with cauliflower, lentils, chickpeas. Stay away from the meat, it's got bones all in it.
Chickpeas with 2 Samosas and you are set.
This place has fresh food, even late at night.
Best lunch value in the hood!
Can't beat it for price, speed, and service in this neighborhood
The chai is like how good Indian aunties make it!
Fill up with a tasty chicken sandwich (lettuce, tomato, chicken patties and sauce on a burger bun) and samosa with chickpeas. Great combo for just $7
Cheapest, most delicious hole-in-the-wall in SoHo.
Ask what they have cooking that's fresh. Order that no matter what it is. 👌
Might want to try those chicken patties. They might be delicious
Get the veggie platter! Chickpeas, lentils, and cauliflower is my favorite combo.
If you're craving something delicious and affordable get a $1 samosa and a $2 "chicken patty" (ground chicken in a flaky croissant-like dough) and revel in this secret deal
The menus, 2 Samosas ($5) and Small Veggie plate with no rice ($5)
Got 2 samosas with chickpeas and lentils.... oh God didn't expect to get this full with $5 menu
Was desperate in the area and everything was either closed or super fancy. I loved the cheap quick Indian food!
Cash only spot. Chicken Biryani is pretty good. Portions are generous. Dude is super nice (brown discount?) and was willing to give us more food. Oh and its super cheap. You can't go wrong!
I'm a wuss and I don't like bones in my meat. If you're like me opt for the chopped chicken.
$1 samosas. Open 24 hours. Cash only.
Tasty, quick, and cheap. Go for the chicken curry, rice, and veggies.
Best chai in Manhattan.
Hands down the best chai in NYC. Convinced it's laced with crack. Splurge for the giant cup for $2, treat yo self.
Dollar samosas never fail. Dollar-fifty Chai is the best thing you never knew you were missing. That door to the left? It's a bathroom!
Pick any 3 items over rice for $6.
Slim takeout shop that caters to taxi drivers, not bad for a late night snack.
$3 lentil soup here is a better deal the the dal at Hampton Chutney co. and has more kick.
The New York cabbies know best! Delicious and authentic food for an amazingly small number of American dollars
The samosa with chickpeas is really good. They cover one ($3) or two ($5) samosas with chana, then add a yogurt sauce and a tamarind sauce. The chana crumbles into the samosa and the flavors combine.
Get the chicken sandwich: tastes great, not to big or too small, add a side to make it a lunch.
For 4 bucks I got a samosa, side of curry chicken, and a mango juice. Win!
Hidden treasure ... though increasingly well known to locals & Taxi drivers alike. Excellent ground chicken curry among other dishes.
