The mac & cheese was definitely worth ordering. It was good BBQ but the speciality rib dish that was recommended was burnt as you can see. The food wasn't worth the price, great, great service though.
Best brisket in the world (yes). Excellent wild boar ribs too. Jeff was awesome behind the bar. The two girls at the host stand are def no where near hot enough to be that snobby, but warm up quickly;
Frito Pie: Only on the bar menu. A layer of Lamberts mustard bbq sauce, topped with Fritos, chopped beef brisket, queso, pico de gallo, goat cheese, and cilantro, with a pickled jalapeno on the side.
My go to recommendation for visitors to Austin. Upscale bbq, everything on Boar ribs, ribeye, lamb chops, trout, Fritos pie, grilled oysters. The most incredible brunch spread -$40, but so worth it.
The most surprising dish is the Mexican rice-stuffed quail. Topped with a quail egg, the diminutive bird is packed with flavor. Crack it open and the rice stuffing spills out. —WC http://bit.ly/NlI3mX
If u sit down for dinner during Happy Hour, THEY CHARGE YOU FULL PRICE FOR YOUR DRINKS. You can only get drink specials for HH AT THE BAR. They should tell u that before you order drinks @ dinner.
“If you want some incredible oak-smoked pulled pork, then this is your place,” says Regan Parks of the Formation of Me blog. “With a signature cocktail and a dessert and you’ll be in BBQ heaven.”
On Sunday's they run the brunch menu only, but that's ok because it's delish. At a $40 price point per person it's a little pricey, but well worth it for the offering. I'd do it again.
The brisket was phenomenal! Love the flavor of the chicken. Get the Mac & cheese! The collard greens taste like someone's grandma made it. Everything is made in house. Nothing frozen.
The most decadent brunch buffet with their "upscale" barbecue options, made-to-order steak benedicts and enough pastries and sides to fill in any empty spots on your plate.
Excellent barbq!! We sat at the bar and the service was great. There was a concert upstairs and the place was hoping. Great crowd!!
Pork ribs are awesome with homemade bbq sauce. Brussel sprouts and mac & cheese are the must side dishes. Good vibe is a def plus.
more refined Cue, but an excellent place if you want a more upscale option on your Austin bbq tour. Thought all the sides were fantastic and the pulled pork was a highlight.
Best cocktail in a long time, best hamburger in a long time. And, we didn't even have a table at the restaurant. All eaten in the bar with immense pleasure. Hands down.
Want to grab a bite and watch live music at the same time? The upstairs is not only a bar, they also serve food! Chow down on some bbq and sip on delicious cocktails while listening to live acts.
The meat portions on the combos, in my opinion, are a little small. Might want to order two or three. Also the Mac and cheese is freshly made and is amazing.
Not your typical barbecue joint. A bit too fancy and expensive to call yourself a barbecue joint. The food was good and the atmosphere is great live music upstairs.
The hubs loved the brisket. I had the delicious shrimp and grits (which my 5 year old also loved.) Excellent sides; mac and cheese and collard greens- mmmm!!)
Great BBQ joint, Upscale but not too upscale. Had the smoked quail and our table shared the charcuterie plate, grits and mac 'n cheese. Everything we tried was great
Wow. That was barbecue worth coming to Texas. The 3 bbq lunch tasting was incredible, and the mac cheese was the creamiest
For BBQ in the Lone Star state, Lambert's can't be beat. Try the Wild Boar ribs, bluebonnet salad and Pulled Pork ribs. Then go find an Attune probiotic bar. :)
Best dining at Lambert's is during the week nights. Not only is it far less crowded, but it is the only time you can get their famous mac n' cheese!
At Lambert’s they break from Texas tradition, serving up Texas barbeque that’s a combination of beef and pork and they use a both wood and gas to smoke it.
Try the 2 Meat Plate - Couldn't leave Austin without barbecue. Brisket and pork rib with collards and waffle fries. #pbsam (via @Foodspotting)
May have already left this tip....but, hh between 5-7 every day and the 1/2 price appetizer menu, hanger steak and the fritz pie. Legit.
I started swearing loudly and uncontrollably the minute I tried the Brisket. It's the best I've had and if there's better I need to know. Shames Ironworks, Stubs and Salt Lick. Eat it.
Best BBQ ever! Faves - brisket, boar ribs, brussel sprouts, Mac & Cheese, smoked trout. Can't go wrong with any of the choices. Delish!
Split the boar ribs to start. Brisket, pork ribs, and collards were insanely delicious, mac and cheese was some of the best I've had.
We couldn’t pick just one BBQ favorite, so this place shares the title with Stubs. Head here if you have a little more change in your pocket.
Mac and 3 cheese=AMAZING!!! Molasses ribeye is super great!! Great food, awesome wait staff. Dimitrius is an amazing server!! Great recommendations.
Hipster BBQ, but it works. The food backs up the atmosphere. Among the best smoked brisket I've ever had. Definitely make a reservation.
Nothing here is Bad.....Hands Down Best Happy Hour in Austin! Get The Spicy Deviled Eggs w/ smoked Paprika & topped American Caviar!
If you try any BBQ on the menu, you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you pair it with mac n cheese and a biscuit on the side!
Came here for the brunch buffet which was $40 pp. Amazing service and selection. Save your stomach for the brisket and the hanger steak eggs Benedict.
Really great service! Short rib was spectacular, collard greens amazing, Mac and cheese as you please!! Great experience!
maple crusted ribeye was amazing. fantastic sides (mac & cheese, collard greens, buttery mashed potatoes). friendly, knowledgable staff.
Loved this spot. Classy BBQ, without the sacrifice of good Texas BBQ. Awesome unique menu items. Definitely a must if in ATX
"Upscale BBQ" if you will. This place is great, but don't come here with out a reservation and make sure to try the mac & cheese.
Happy Hour from 5-7pm at the bar is one of the best in Austin. Half off all bar food and $2 off all drinks.
Here's a tip: MAKE A RESERVATION! Even on Mondays! The hostess has attitude but the place is nice. Great brussels sprouts!
Delicious food and lots of comfort food. A little pricey though. Great bar. Usually crowded, but it has delicious food!
If you don't want to wait 5 hours for Franklins, this is your best bet for bbq in Austin.
Get the Frito Pie and the asparagus side. Both are great. Follow up with the s'more bread pudding for dessert!
I had the ribs and they were so tender and mouth watering! I had never tried foie gras but it was indeed tasty.
If the rude high school hostesses give you their you don't have a reservation and we're sooo upscale attitude go somewhere else worth skipping
