Great place. The chance of enjoying a movie while having some wine is pretty good.

    Florencia Mazza Ramsay · January 2, 2015

The oldest cinema in Houston, and the most beautiful. The balcony was converted into two additional theatres upstairs. They're cramped and uncomfortable, so I'd advise you go to the downstairs screen.

    Miriam Goldman · December 25, 2014

    Popcorn was stale. :(

    Natalee Zuniga-Rivas · October 17, 2014

Their midnight movies are a relaxing way to end the night. The bar is small but it is personable and good enough.

    Dustin Lyday · August 19, 2014

Check out the rare Viva Zapata poster on the second floor behind the bar. Movie filmed in Roma, Tx.

It has this really unique, old-timey, artsy quality to it; makes me feel like I am going back in time to see “the pictures!” Read more

Love it but they don't allow dogs and I don't think that's fair. I'm really quiet and can fit in a purse.

    Picolina Rodriguez · March 30, 2014

Take a look at the old photography on the wall and in the stairwell. This theater has been around awhile!

Before your movie enjoy a nice stiff drink at the upstairs bar. Prices are very reasonable!

First visit. Might be my last. Shabby and dirty looking place. Hope the film is better than the venue!!!

    Best little theater in Houston.

Very quaint movie theater. Well preserved and cute atmosphere. Acoustics leave something to be desired. Not all speakers were on and movie playing next door was too loud and seeped through the walls.

    Taylor Smith · November 10, 2013

Don't wait in line to get in the movie, go upstairs and order a drink. That makes the wait much more enjoyable.

See what's playing on the downstairs screen. Avoid the two upstairs screens-- the cramped quarters were carved out of the balcony and share a common wall.

  • Imfallible K.

If you like an even distribution of butter on your popcorn ask for it half n half

The only place in town (that I know) where you can have a drink with your movie. Order a to-go from upstairs and enjoy the show.
