Place where Julio Cesar was assassinated. Also a beautiful cat sanctuary... They're very friendly and love humans! Note: don't leave food for them, they're taken care of daily by an official entity.

There are +100 cats in this ancient Roman ruin — they're vaccinated and well-cared for by a nonprofit organization. They're like watching mini lions and tigers in their "jungle" habitat :-)

Do visit the cat shelter in the corner and support thru a souvenir or "adopt" a handicapped cat (you pay, the cat stays in the shelter). Take the stairs down from the upper corner by the tram tracks.

Great for cat-lovers: there are lots living in the ruins here. You can visit the cat sanctuary on the corner in the afternoons.

Epic, a cat sanctuary in the middle of the ruins. If you are fan of felines this is a quirky but cool addition to your must do list

Charming cat sanctuary in the ancient Roman ruins. You can visit the shelters, cuddle the cats, buy gadgets, make donations and even adopt a furry little friend!

Like 'Where's Waldo' but with cats in ancient Roman ruins. Bonus points if you're a nerd (like me) and use binoculars.

A cat sanctuary in the middle of a roundabout in the middle of some ancient ruins. That doesn't happen all the time. PS the cats beat the ruins.

I saw no cats but a crow was wondering where the promised winter cold was gone. Beautiful view.

Read more
