beef rendang, kang kung belacan, roti canai, chow kway teow, hainanese chicken rice... just a few favorites :)
One Michelin star.
Ginger candy is best eaten in pieces.
Service is really good and there's a huge selection for lunch specials :) filling and pretty flavorful
The roti canai is as good as everyone says! $7 is steep for it but it's still worth it.
prawn Mee is decent, but lacking pork.
Best Malaysian/Vietnamese/Thai food in Manhattan....Ginger rice, Nasi gorang .... Everything is cooked perfectly and tastes soooo...good
Try the beef rendang with coconut rice! A malaysian iced coffee doesn't hurt either :)
Malaysian staples Roti Canai and Nasi Lemak were delicious. And intense ginger candy comes with the check.
The Nasi Lemak was to die for - strongly recommend
Crispy Fried Chilli Chicken is good!
Really yummy pad Thai! Also enjoyed the roti canai starter.
The green curry and the drunk men noodles are a must!
The Thai green curry chicken and the drunk man noodles are scrumptious! :)
Roti Canai was AMAZING!!! The rest of the food is really good too.
It's an eat and go place; not a place to sit and chat. Service was so annoying , they basically pushed us out of the door.. Highly not recommended
Some of the city's best Malaysian food in a slightly upscale but easygoing setting.
Probably one of the best Asians i've had in manhattan. Drunken noodles, steamed dumplings and the halibut were fantastic. A must try!
If you're coming here for the first time, make sure you arrive in time for dinner. That way, you'll be able to enjoy the free shrimp puff you'll receive with your newbie badge.
Try the Yee Mee - Thin egg noodles with mushrooms, bean sprouts, eggs, carrots, snow peas and sesame oil with soy sauce. And beef. (via @Foodspotting)
Hainanese chicken: legit. I could eat that rice all day.
Roti Canai is delish & soft shell crab is yummy :)
How can you turn down free dessert or chicken satay?
Most authentic malaysian food in NYC!
Curry Laksa Soup is amazing and the Beef Pad See Ew is the best I've ever had.
Better off going to Nynoya or Penang - better food and much better service..!
Great food, but avoid the fried ice cream dessert.
curry laksa. yumm.
Wonton soup, green curry, thai iced tea FTW
crazy roll, pineapple chicken, chili crab. ginger tea.
The massaman curry is great and the chicken is some of the softest I've ever had.
Not bad but too expensive.
Rudest reception I have ever experienced. If I wasn't incredibly hungry I would have left.
Drunk man noodles with chicken is so good. Start with the roti canai. Yum!
Disappointed. Over priced for what you get. The chicken in my $18 chicken pad thai was rubbery and made me nervous. The atmosphere is pleasant.
The newbie special is for shumai - not shrimp puff (whatever that is)
Bad service update:: We give @lautunionsquare restaurant host Liam as the worst host in NYC. We recommend to skip this place entirely. Horrible host with horrible service.
Mee Goreng is worth it.
Must try the prawn mee soup, roti canai, beef rendang, and Malaysian curry
Cheap, delicious Malaysian lunch specials. I love the Mee Goreng
Beware, food is extremely sweet.
Super friendly waiters, awesome food. Don't forget to get your free shrimp puffs when you check in !
The food can be rushed out a little too fast during the lunch time and the lunch special doesn't come with any sort of appetizer which doesn't really make it special.....just sayin'
Try the Mango & Sweet Sticky Rice With Coconut Milk - Nice and hot and sweet dessert (via @Foodspotting)
Try the Thai Fried Rice - Chicken, eggs, onions, green peas, carrots and tomatoes (via @Foodspotting)
Quick sit down service for ~$12
Roti Canai. Period.
Great Malaysian menu, best enjoyed with a Tiger Beer.
LAUT Must Haves: Roti canai, curry puffs, duck salad, and coconut sticky rice!
