Brasserie Les Halles is a typical Parisian brasserie serving fresh and simple dishes of France’s everyday cuisine. Home base of Chef-at-large Anthony Bourdain.
We were kind of worried when it was half full at 10pm on a Friday night, but the food was excellent. Great steak frites, they made up for the not so great service.
Do me a favor. Get up. Walk outside and go to Almond on Broadway/22nd instead. You'll thank me later.
Salmon and escargot were delicious
Steak is certainly not something I would go here for if you are looking for quality. To be fair, front staff was trying to make up for poor quality of kitchen work
Famous for being the restaurant of Anthony Bourdain. The hamburger game is strong and the ambience is what you would expect from a bistro aka white tablecloth vibes
Solid French food option, foie Gras, escargot and deviled eggs worth a try
All in for Labor Day Weekend Brunch!
House-made Macarons are a must 👌🏼
Slightly touristy but def provides good nostalgia for a Parisian sidewalk cafe.
Can't go wrong here. Filet was incredible! Classic French
Classic French bistro. I really liked the burger
Come here for a cheap Parisian vacation
Scallops were done perfectly. Also been here for breakfast/brunch many times, great cappuccino and their eggs benedict game is A plus
Very good indeed. Make sure you had a reservation you may not be as luck as me☺️
If you're here for breakfast, try the eggs benedict with salmon.
Really good steak tartare. Staff was super friendly
Always free wifi
As seen around 28th and Park
#Easter Sunday at Les Halles - join us!
The French fries are good.
Truffle fries. That's all I need to say.
Steak and frites were ok. I feel like there are better options in NYC. Maybe this once-standout restaurant is past its prime?
Wake up in Paris. Breakfast served every day from 8am.
Go for the Steak!! So good.
VERY GOOD restaurant, the food quality is amazing, the only point is the tables are very close from each other, but we are taking about NY
The food here is really good and it has very nice ambiance. The lunchtime service isn't the greatest; they're slow and miss a lot of things.
Yummy steak, terrible music.
Cozy late night eats and atmosphere for steak frites by Chef Phillip via Anthony Bourdain.
Choucroute festival coming January 23rd!
You can't go wrong with any of the steak dishes!
All good tastes here. I enjoyed the steak tartare and the mussels. Devilled eggs were ok, but not special enough to order again. Fries are nice too but not as legendary as most people say.
A bit on the pricey side for what it is ($10 for the onion soup?), but you really can't go wrong here when you're craving some steak frites.
Their Fillet and Frites is to die for!
Steak and French Fries!
Go when Diedre is in command of the maître de station
Nothing like Lady Gaga and Britney remixes to accompany your Steak Frites and St Emilion
For a French restaurant, they are pretty average at their French Onion Soup.
Steak, steak, and steak.
I had fantastic steak. Would go again
French onion soup here is the real deal. Must order.
Oddly dim-lit interior but really excellent food. Sometimes, it feels a bit rushed but it's nonetheless worth it. Well worth it.
Great food for a fairly reasonable price. Try the steak frites.
Swordfish special! Great for big parties. We had 17.
Music is terrible and how can you run out of steak tartare? To the jealous expediter who is disdainfully watching us make out, I hope you get laid soon : )
The cassoulet is small but it's still hearty with the sausage, pork and duck.
