A bustling parisian brasserie in the heart of the Financial District. Serving classic French cuisine in a lively atmosphere.
Lively, bustling and charmingly french. Turn-of-the-century tin ceiling. Large wine selections, and specials! You can get our free Downtown dining guide at http://www.downtownny.com/mapsguides/
Try the Bananas Flambee
For a great red wine choice try the 2008 St Chinian AOC (under the Languedoc-Roussillon section). Based on same grape varieties as wines from Faugeres AOC(grenache noir, carignan, syrah, and mouvedre)
Just as good as it’s uptown sister and their delivery service is amazing – the steak au poivre with french fries arrive as good as if it was table service.
The Mussels are awesome!
good place for a financial district power breakfast
A plethora of salads, sandwiches and bistro fare compliment the laid-back surroundings of Les Halles. The perfect place to grab a quick bite.
50 wines 50% every monday. Awesome after work for a drink and moules frites!
now serving breakfast.
Monday night half priced bottles, steak salad, and creme brûlée.
Great place for quick and affordable lunch downtown. $15 or so. Something on menu for everyone. Classic burger + fries are unbeatable. And they seat partial parties.
Excellent selection of classic French dishes. Steak tartare, escargot and steak frites were very good. Good selection of wine, as well.
Steak et Frites (tad more expensive - but its Bourdaine on a budget)
Restaurante do apresentador e chef anthony bourdain! Must go!!!!
50% Wine Mondays are awesome!!!!
The cod and the French Dip are go to dishes.
We rolled in late on a Tuesday and it was hip hop dance party meets awesome steak frites (with bearnaise!). Cocktails pricey for the size, pass on the escargot.
Mussels and hangers steak were great
The mussels are delicious.
Mussels & Belgian fries with Chimay Bleu. Works every time, everywhere.
Great place. From the dining room dwnstrs to the charming narrow eating area upstairs to the Flatiron Bearnaise and the buttery escargots. Unpretentious, reasonably priced (for manhattan) & a delite.
One of the restaurants I'm happy to repeat visit. Appetizer: escargots, brie & honey, or the Frisée aux Lardons. Steak and duck confit are tasty, but I always go for Portugues Moules Frites.
Try the Plance De Grillades
don’t get the Côte de boeuf. it’s too good.
The brie and honey starter and the steak tartar are delicious! Steak frites is good. Fries are the best. Mussels - yum! No AC so gets a little steamy in the summer. Great staff.
One of the best foie gras in NYC. foie gras foie gras foie gras.
meat is really good. if you would love a good wine then try a bottle instead of the glass. fries are delicious and the stuff was nice too. i'll give it 3 stars out of 5.
1/2 priced bottles of wine on Mondays. Table side steak tartare, correctly cooked fried, but no tuna steak at this French bistro 😔
Recommend the burger. Great fries.
The steak frites are the signature dish but everything is pretty tasty at the downtown outpost of this classic Brasserie transported to NYC.
The devil eggs with black truffle is not bad. You can taste the truffle for sure .
We eat steaks! Pretty good... And the attention amazing!
Croque Madame is solid.
French fries, chicken sandwich
Food is decent. Weekend service is slow and lazy.
In the old Michael's of John's Street space, I love this restaurant as much as its older midtown sibling. In fact, the rushed feeling of the midtown site isn't an issue here and you can eat at the bar
Steak was wonderful.
Popped in for brunch. $5 mimosas and bloody Mary's!
In the area where we don't have the kind of dining options that Manhattan typically offers, this is one of a few solid ones.
You should order a steak au poivre and some frites right now!
Of course the mussels are great here, but breakfast is just as delicious.
Try the blood sausage. Or the oysters and a Guinness
Very diligent and responsible with gluten-free requests, and the gf options are labeled on the menu now
Good food, terrible service though. The host and hostess were great but we had 2 different servers. Xfer to bar and the bartender was rude and took 30m for oysters that weren't even shucked properly.
Brasserie francese niente male frequentatissimo da impiegati in giacca e cravatta. Lo stake sandwich è buonissimo. Personale simpatico e cortese.
