People tend to check in during these times:
This Railway Station is part of the National Rail Network. For train times and ticketing information, please visit http://www.nationalrail.co.uk.
Plenty of things to do, and places to go. All within a ten minute walk of the station
If you ever get the chance visit Lansdown Sweet Shop nearly out side the station on the Eastbourne bound side of near the car park, walk up the hill and turn left and it's there.
Wind whistles through this station!
Wondering exactly how high and mighty we need to get with our service here before ppl finally get they aren't wanted in these parts...
Avoid like the plague when it's winter specially the weekends bus services galore
Better ways than Southern to get there: 1. Walking 2. Crawling 3. Hitch Hiking 4. No-markings "taxi" with dodgy driver 5.letting hairy trucker give U lift 6. Not going at all
Just like bibles in hotel rooms, timetables are there for the amusement of realists and because it's tradition!... Please do not take seriously.
Take a taxi. Trains aren't going anywhere... Honestly. Don't even try!
Great leather couches in waiting room
The only station that I know of where two old platforms are connected by a pile of stones! There is a proper walkway too of course.
Food and coffee is much better and cheaper across the road at Cindy's sandwich bar. Nick chooses the coffee beans, and the soup is homemade. Don't have the last pea and mint one; it's mine!
The coffee in the cafe is overstewed and thin. Use Daisy's across the road which is cheaper and Nick chooses the roast himself. The food is 'okay' not great
If you're going to Victoria buy your ticket at the counter, not from the machine. It's usually cheaper
I'm thinking it was the people, rather than the MP, who saved the Runaway!
There is a car park 10 metres away from the one attached to the station (same direction) with much cheaper fares.
Spot the garden statuary across from platform 4 - a lovely nymph peeking out of the flower pots.
Only recently our MP had to step in to save the independent cafe on platform 2, from becoming another rip off costa lot or equivalent. Use it. It's good, and the bloke is friendly.
Tell Vic in the cafe a Tommy Cooper joke.
Londonbound? Try platform 2!
Brighton is platforms 4/5London is platform 2Get your coffee before you go in. I don't mind the (somewhat pricey!) cafe but the coffee's weak and bland!
Awesome? No. Avoid Southern Rail whenever you can. And Lewes.
