The pool, measuring some 2,000 feet long, was built soon after the 1922 dedication of the Lincoln Memorial; both were designed by architect Henry Bacon.

While you may not be able to take a dip in this pool on a hot day, you still need to protect your eyes & skin from the sun & reflection. Water reflects up to 100% of UV, so sunnies are essential!

The pool leads to the Lincoln memorial so those searching for directions u won't get lost. And along the way there are benches to have a sit and take a breather.

Great place to bike to! Lots of history surrounds this spot. Accessible to Capital Bikeshare station. Also, within biking distance of Arlington, which is right across the bridge.

Beautiful place and overall an amazing collection of memorials all close together, but the actual water here is pretty filthy and definitely needs to be taken care of better.
