Don't buy food from the newsstand on the platform. I saw a mouse having a field day in there a few months ago.
Stay at the front of the train for C&E transfers and walk right up the west end.
Really be wary of the crazed homeless guy who hangs around here. He's harmless but always be safe

There's a Bank of America ATM on Track 4. But it only dispenses cash. No other transactions.

Buy a city limits ticket if you are heading to Penn from here .... it will save you some cash.
Be careful if you look up train times online, 2 out of 5 times they are incorrect or don't have every train listed.

Track 4 is on platform A. Tracks 2 & 3 are on platform B. Track 1 is on platform C. Makes no sense.
I haven't eaten there, but the smells from Pollos Mario at the east end of the station make me hungry.

There's a great view of jets landing St LGA from the subway platform.
Watch out the platform overhead signs say A B C D and the tracks screen 1 2 3 4

Good to get off here if you're headed to Grand Central/the East Side, as you can take the 7. Nice alt to Hunterspoint Ave when it's not being served. Don't get on here though, as no trains start here
In weekends, buy a CityTicket to Penn Station to save money.
Get the number 7 train to Times Square at this station.
They need to put up new signs since the digital sign tells you a track # but they are labeled by "platform a, b, c, etc" Confusing!
The elevator service at this station is very poor two or three outages a week and often two or three days to repair
The elevators are alway down at this station and response time can be days often
