Trains going to Penn Station are on tracks 1 and 2. Train to Brooklyn is on track 3. Eastbound trains are more confusing, follow the signs or ask at the info booth.

Need to use the restroom? Afraid you'll miss your connecting train? Use the restrooms located in the Air Train building; clean & regularly maintained.
You can get E train subway to get to manhattan
Waiting for a train? Don't wait on the platform... head upstairs to Air Bar for hip hop dance party & blockbuster movies w the volume turned down! And then hit the deli for beers to go.
Headed to the Hamptons & stressing about getting a seat after the Jamaica train switcharoo? Skip Penn Station & take the 7 train to Hunters Point - board here & you'll already have a seat come Jamaica
You can't "watch" the gap, you can only "mind" it. English... Its not that hard.
Trains cars that end with odd numbers always have bathrooms. Cars that end with an even number always have more seats.
Let passengers get off the train before trying to board it.. If not I will run through you like I'm a NFL running-back!

If you can't make it to Penn Station to catch the LIRR and you find yourself at 53rd and Lexington (it takes a little over 20 mins to get there), take the E here as long as you have half an hour, you'
Please be advised this isn't the Caribbean Jamaica. You will be sorely disappointed if you think it is.

NEVER transfer at Jamaica.
When transferring, if you have time, go up the stairs and get to the other side of your new train. You'll beat the rushing crowd
If you're on track 1 and going to Atlantic (track 3) and don't want to walk up the stairs to transfer tracks, just walk right through the Penn Station train on track 2
You'll know you've been waiting long if the jfk shuttle shows up.
Cab drivers outside thirsty to pick u up then when u get in the car they have no sense of direction smh

Air Bar, deli, and decent bathrooms through the Airtrain entrance. These are very good things to know while waiting.
You don't want to be waiting for your train after midnight. The Jamaica station crazies come out to bother you for money and food.

When in need, there are clean bathrooms in Airtrain Terminal, a nice addition to the hub.

Wear headphones on the train because no one shuts up and music is the only way to tune them out
Please disregard the comments about how bad the station may seem. It's a million times better than Penn Station and most people who complain about this station are just scared of the area.
One word- Purell.
Traveling to the Hamptons or JFK, then you’ll have to transfer either to the Double Decker train or the AirTran. Get a seat towards the front of the train for an easy transfer.
