The city market for San Diego residents & visitors. ~200 booths line W. Cedar St. with farm fresh produce, artisan foods, & gifts. Saturdays 8AM-2PM year-round.
Only happens on Saturday mornings
Lovely place with varieties of things
Grab yourself some live uni!
The market has temporarily relocated to W. Cedar Street between Kettner Blvd. and Front St. due to construction on Date St. Still great, just one block south!
San Diego's largest Farmers' Market spans more than 5 city blocks. Enjoy fresh food, crafts, & live music every Saturday from 8AM-2PM. Crêpes are popular but the line moves quickly!
they have really great produce selection♥ and they have a really really fresh flowers!
Love our early morning trips to this farmer's market. Great produce and specialty/local goodies!
Get here before 12pm for fewer people and more product options!
This is pretty much the best farmers market in San Diego
Bread and garlic oil samples :)
Fall so fancy (you already know).
Love to do this every Saturday AM in Little Italy (now on Cedar St). Bring your reusable shoppers and cash. They say "no dogs," but they're everywhere (and adorable).
Pick up a Mercato shopping bag to carry your stuff and re-use
Awesome farmer's market but really smells like urine (probably from all the dogs?) everywhere! They should really do something about it.
Highly recommend the strawberry stand near Date and India. The ladies have the BEST berries there.
Orange coffee truck, oysters, Carmel sauce and pastured eggs are some of my favorites.
The side streets add to the ambiance and cultural feel here. Beautiful church and reminds me if my childhood.
If you can get past the crowding as you move street to street, it's got wonderful produce, flowers, and vender choices.
Be prepared for large crowds.
Love everything about this mercato. Molto bene.
Favorite place to go. Parking is tough
Best farmers market I've seen yet in San Diego!
Andrew S. checked in on Monday... The Farmers Market is on Saturday.
Make sure to stop at the " La Crêperie"
Drink the green juice samples...lettuce, spinach, kale, etc. all liquified into tasty goodness.
homemade food & organic produce
Parking is tough. Best bet is to park a couple blocks away at a parking lot and walk there.
Best place to find pastured meats
Nothing is better than a Sunday morning farmers market in the heart of Little Italy. Check out the local vendors then stroll over to a nearby restaurant for a lunch and a glass of wine. -Our LJ Admin
This market is great but seeing people open & devour sea urchins in the street is disgusting. I wish the organizers wouldn't put them right next to the vegans. #notfunny #gross #ruiningmyappetite
GreenFix makes a great green smoothie.
Linda's Brittles Gourmet Nut Brittles will be at the Mercato again this Saturday, 8/11. Get your "brittle" on!
Great selection. Beautiful view of the harbor. Definitely my favorite farmers market in San Diego. Face booths: La Creperie & Bitchin Sauce
Best farmers market in San Diego.
Pull pork and mashed potato parfaits are the bomb!!!
Jesse Graham's flower stall at corner of Date and State has the best lilies and he's a cool guy too!
You have to try the pineapple teriyaki beef jerky and strawberry watermelon lemonade. Delish!
One of THE best in San Diego! Look for the Crepes on the corner the Mercato, super delicious. Line may be long, but it moves quite fast.
Spring Hill for cheese is the best!
This market is just precious!!
Get pad thai or drunken noodles (and coconut pancakes) from thai lady. In front of cottages bn state and Columbia. Yum yum !
Opps Jessie the flower guy is outside the church. Almost to the corner by state street
Do not miss Jesse, young guy w his dads lilies grown in encinitas. They are amazing! And he's nice.
Jackie's Jams are amazing! And they take credit cards ;-)
Delightful. Best farmer's market in San Diego!
Golden raspberries, fresh fruit, pretty flowers, and some bitchin' sauce are all necessities. And the orange truck has great Vanilla Lattes
Great people watching!
Try the vanilla bean quark from Spring Hill. Great with apples, you'll be back for more!
Free two hour parking at Washington school on State street
A great place to pick up fresh produce, flowers and yummy hummus!
