Locanda Verde is a casual, energetic, affordable neighborhood Italian taverna in TriBeCa serving celebrated chef Andrew Carmellini’s soul-satisfying riffs on Italian cooking.
Great bar scene. Nothing is too special about the food, and the pasta was too salty.
Sheep's milk ricotta and the meatball sliders were fantastic, but the spaghetti alla chitarra was too overpowered by the seafood taste and the paccheri was a little too al dente. Nice wine selection!
Duck was phenomenal. And we seriously came close to a second order of their soup special, sopressata-based broth with shrimp and mussels.
Sheep's milk ricotta and blue crab crostini were amazing apps. Then, make sure to taste My Grandmother's Ravioli, filled with braised short rib. The private room in the back feels like Hogwarts!
romesco or chef’s ravioli, plum cake for deesert
My favorite pastas are the Sunday ragu and Shrimp with Crab meat (although fishy, very satisfying)
Bucatini was a little disappointing - the rock shrimp and calamari was chewy. 😔
Pizza for lunch? Diet? Gluten allergy? Still have some of the house made focaccia.
Sheeps milk ricotta
Good Italian American food, ok drinks, overpriced. Nice decor. Back garden is nice and loungy.
The brunch is overrated but the ricotta lives up to the hype. Pastas are well executed and the roast chicken is a pleasingly hearty dish.
Great atmosphere - Have to try the sheep's milk ricotta
Brunch was excellent, especially the hash.
Meh. Such a hype.
Great brunch, perfect pastas and the ricotta crostini is delicious
Lamb meat ball sliders ...
Pasta is amazing!
Try the blue crab crostini and lamb meatball sliders! The pappardelle was fantastic too - can't wait to come back!
The waiter named Marcus is really a pro! He talks food and wine so good it sounds like a poetry. And it tastes as amazing as it sounds.
The food is amazing. I went with a special mushroom pasta (it will be in a regular menu soon). My friends tried also Blue Crab, Burrata and Asparagus for starters. Everything was delicious.
Go, if only for the amazing house-made pasta selection.
The lamb sliders are to die for!!
The lamb sliders are to die for!
Get the bolognese!
20-125. The Greenwich Hotel. Booking the private room requires a food and beverage minimum of $2,000 to $8,000. Dinner pricing starts at $85 per guest plus beverages and fees.
Asparagus and pork belly appetizer was delicious
One of the best restaurants I've been to.
Good is good but prices are too high. Definitely positioned as a trendy scene restaurant.
Best pastas ever!
Everything was amazing.
Hard to get a reservation but you might get lucky on a no wait walk-in table! Food is well done.
Food was not overly impressive, I didn't think it lived up to rating. More of a see and be seen type place.
Amazing shrimp and grits.
The best scrambled eggs I've ever had in my life. And the garlic fried potatoes are everything. I would eat here for breakfast everyday.
If I had to choose.. Brunch > Dinner. But try both! And make sure to get the lemon ricotta pancakes. Mmmm
Solid italian in a lovely dining space. The lamb sliders are fantastic, and so is the spreadable sheeps milk cheese
Lamb sliders were awesome. Pastas were very disappointing. This place is overrated.
It's a very popular brunch place. The sheep's milk ricotta is awesome.
Sheeps' milk ricotta... the trip is worth just to have that amazingness!!
The ricotta is a must. If you don't get it you have ruined the whole meal.
2015 James Beard nominee for Outstanding Chef - Andrew Carmellini
Grandma's ravioli - Devine!
Lots of Italian restaurants in NYC but this is a stand out. Everything is delicious but make sure you try the Sheep's milk ricotta with truffle honey and toast. Sevice is great and attentive.
Perfect for a weekend brunch. Buzzing, but the space is large enough that it is still peaceful. Beautiful rich dark wood decor is also calming
Pricey but very tasty Italian food.
Beautiful interior and great food. The lamb sliders are a wonderful starter for anything that follows. Thank you RDN for that pleasure place.
I had the Rabbit/Fennel/Beans pasta and it was very good.
