Of all the London stations -- this one offers the greatest view!
Look out for the stones in the booking hall which were part of the facade of the original Blackfriars station opened in 1886 when it was the hub for travel to and from many Capital cities of Europe
Amazing view of the River Thames from Platform 1. The Shard and the Tate Modern are to the right. And Tower Bridge in the distance.
I love this station - lovely views of the river
flowers vending machine!
Scenic view of the city from the only train station that spans the river Thames and connects the North and South.
Not a great meeting place as it is too cold an no place to sit pick a pub nearby instead
My favourite train station. Early morning trains are always a delight to enjoy the view over a dusky Thames 😊
The view from the train station platforms is fabulous.
Surely the station with the best views in the world
Great view of Thames from the platforms, which also makes the station quite relaxing. However, when it's cold the Thames makes the station colder. Prepare to freeze.
It's easy to reach UK landmarks from this station
Most scenic station in London!
This has to be the nicest railway station in London. It spans across the Thames and has fantastic views downstream. Great views of The Shard; and Tower Bridge
New station entrance is light and roomy.
Great views from here
Lovely and light with nice views
Probably the best view from any train station in the UK
One of favourite London stations for the views alone!
Trains stop at the far end of he platform in the direction of travel
Seriously needs to be a coffee stand on the platforms. Craving my ass off at this time in the morning.
Possibly the best view from any station in London.
THE station above the Thames ... Quiet impressive
Round the corner opposite Mermaid Centre. Check out Piccolo Bar. Good grub huge portions.
South entrance is fully open
The only train station to span a river ! An engineering marvel ! Micheal Portillo would be impressed
Best view of the river from a London commute :)
If you take one number for your train journey from Blackfriars, make it 61016. You can text to tell us about non-emergencies on a train or at a station (in emergencies dial 999).
Toilets are clean and functional
Nice modern station
Exiting southbound, look for the yellow brick building on the left, just after the big red brick chimney. Repairs to the bricks on the gable end facing you look like a fiendish optical illusion!
Try eating a sandwich on platform two..
The biggest solar bridge in the world
Unfortunately you cannot see the river at the moment, due to building work. Check out the builders milling around
Be sure to check out the art work by the southbank entrance
Remember to check your routes before travelling! Sounds boring but it's worth it!
Spanking new shiny station, same crappy Sunday service.
Trains stop on the bridge, station on both sides of the river. Very cool
Exit south to save time.
Get here early, trains will leave early.
Underground station and link now re-opened, just don't cross the river using Oyster pay-as-you-go as TfL will charge!
Always more room to board trains at the end of the new, longer platforms
Check out the great views as you cross the river!
