Known as the one of the busiest airport in the world. Tha Best way to get to the city is using tube (subway). Only take about less an hour we can reach the downtown of London. #traveling#LondonCalling

Airports quality shows in busy times. Are the buildings designed for a large amount of people? How are the queues organized? Is it easy to navigate through terminals? LHR easily excels in all categories

Heathrow, despite its undeserved reputation, is a great airport, especially terminal 5. Good facilities, great for shopping and some of the fastest baggage handling in the world.

So far all the different foods I have tried have been pretty good. This is my 5th layover here in the past few months. Really a decent airport to get around in. Follow the purple when in doubt.

Always fly BA. Love T5. Great connections between T5 A, B, C. Just catch the train and it takes you to the long haul flights in a couple of min. Great restaurants and nice lounges.

Huge airport with many terminals. Getting from the Terminal 1,2,3 metro station to security over Terminal 3 takes about 15,20 minutes. Make sure you get here well in time. Lots to do and explore!

visit Caviar House restaurant. I recommend the tsarini, moderate in price (relatively). You will not find this sort of thing easily in the USA. A nice break between connections. Located terminal 3.

The new T5 is simply one of the best in the world! Plenty of dining and shopping to whittle away your time before wheels up. I like getting out to the satellite gates early for a bit of calm 😑.

There is a new Pret a Manger at T5 departure. Try it out for the usual amazing sandwiches, coffee and all things fresh. Giraffe is also upstairs for that sumptuous hot meal

Frankly, the best duty-free shopping in any airport in the world. Luxury at its best, whether it's chocolate, scotch, wine, caviar, jewelry, clothing, luggage or watches.

Terminal 5 is great. Modern, clean, spacious, and easy to negotiate. Great views of the airfield too. Only slight drawback was very slow through passport checking on the return journey.

Terminal 2: get huge takeout share-box for £12 at Yo Sushi. Then 'London's Pride' to sit in for coffee&use work stations with power sockets. 'Leon' does good range of healthy food options downstairs.

    2. Go to Huxleys which is on the left hand side after the security check, good beer and good food, for something under 10 pounds, you can get a very filling meal, avoid shops on the concourse level

LHRt was an easy airport to move through. The Tube (train station), being on the grounds was a breeze. The people were helpful and the transport to my destination was easy. Early flights are the best.

If you're at Terminal 3 departure and travelling alone, don't wait at the main waiting area. Walk towards the lounges and check out the quieter cafes where you can grab a bite to eat in peace.

Connected to the subway. You can easily ride toward london paddinton station and come back to the airport in an hour or two. If u have a 4 hrs stop over its way worth it to go hop the subway & explore

Huge difference between GOOD T5, and AWFUL T1-4. if you access BA lounges, good showers shoulder massage. Worth a go to Sofitel hotel spa landside if you have a longer than 2hours transit.

Free Wi-Fi for four hours (registration required). The cheapest way to the city is the subway (it costed me 3.10£ with Oyster card, which I purchased right there at my arrival).

Depending on the security checkpoint you go through, it can either be hellish , or rather nice. Charge your phone where you can , as the outlets are different in various parts of the airport.

Terminal 2 has excellent shopping and restaurants to keep you busy. Long walk to departure gates so plan ahead. Do not be alarmed by the non-existence departure passport control.

Returning US travelers, security is between Areas D and E, and is super fast with a Fast Track ticket. Even with per screened ticket, though, you still need to remove laptop, iPad, liquids, shoes.

You don't need to take your shoes off but you definitely need to take out any and all liquids and pasts from your bags so they don't waste time searching you.

Flying of T5? Always head to the North Gates right away. Most incoming travellers arrive near the South Gates so they are usually busier, or closed if the traffic volume is low. Either way, go North.

Well. It's an airport. I'm at terminal 3 but have used others too. With all the waiting time these days because of security you couldn't really ask for a better airport in terms of having things to do
