Loads of shops, loads of trains and amazing architecture!
For the 9¾ station setting, it's actually next to the Harry Potter store. Don't really go to the station you can't get in!
Stunning architecture in main concourse. Harry Potter of course and great connections to wider London. Good wifi at Prezzo
Fast and easy way to go to Cambridge. From Lindon King's Cross station you can also take a train to Hogwarts.
The East Coast first class lounge closes at around 21:20 so if you've booked the last train you won't be able to use it
Go early in the morning or late night to see Harry Potter's platform 9 3/4 empty and get a good picture. During the day you might face long queues.
Great selection of cafes, relaxing to sit in and watch people go on their way while waiting for your train. Or stop at platform 9 3/4s!
I recommend the bookshop, Watermarks, next to the Harry Potter exhibit. It has a good eclectic range, lovely staff, and appears to be an independent - always a good thing in, er, my book !
Hungry? Leon is cheap and has excellent food! Order the rice with meatballs!
Think there is a bit too much hype over the Platform 9 3/4, I was expecting the cart to be there 24/7 but was dissapointed to find that it's only there during the day (they remove it during the night)
Try the nearby Dishoom if you want a hot meal. You can't beat it!
Get poor man's sushi for £2 at wasabi... Get the chirashi salad, a box of sushi offcuts
Long platform, allow plenty of time to board the train
The Wasabi (sushi takeaway restaurant) in this station only offer a small range of pre-readied bento.
The modern station ISO much better and with more good and retail establishments to while away the minutes to your train time.
Breakfast. Modern. Burgers.
Deffers one of my favourite stations. Former domain of the Deltics.
Platform 9 3/4 now has a line and costs money to take a picture. Damn.
Go to Giraffe cafe upstairs. The breakfasts and service are great!
Good connections and a good selection of shops. However, the M&S is tiny compared with the one over the road in St Pancras!
Always full of people, but you can spend your time at Harry Potter store or the platform 9 3/4.
Better following the refurbishment but you'll get lost at some point. Go see Harry Potter
What a difference the building work has made!! I didn't recognise the station at all. Looks amazing. Try and find platform 9 3/4 😀
One of the most beautiful train stations on earth
Huge train station
The staff at the help desk are helpful, there's a variety of shops there so your able to waste some time when waiting for your train. The only down side is that you have to pay to use the toilets.
East Coast trains go from here.
New station full of harry potter fans (or maybe they are wizards)
Love the refurbishment. Quite a hike from Tube to platforms..especially when you only have 5 minutes to catch train!
Go go shopping
New refurb is great although I did struggle to find somewhere to just sit and have a drink. Lots of food options though.
Cool beans. Just like Harry Potter. Easy to navigate and well signposted.
Best station in London since the makeover
You can get to pretty much anywhere in London from here
Great atmosphere and lots of great shops and places to eat.
Toilets are 30p. A few seats for 1000's of passengers an hour. Rampantly comnercial development. Excelkent architecture but in oractise, no nicer to use than the old shed was.
Wasabi food is great
9 3/4 is where the magic starts😍
Nice re design. Actually a nice place to meet now!
Great place for people watching.
Go to Benito's Hat if you need food before your journey. Good Burritos!
The station is beautiful!
Yes, it's THAT station from Harry Potter. Nope, it doesn't look like the one from the film (that's the one next door)
If you want to get cash out, you may be better off using the ATMs in St Pancras. The ones at King's Cross are fitted really low down on the wall, making them hard to use if you are of average height.
