The floors above the grand Victorian station were run as an upmarket hotel, the Midland Grand, between 1873 and 1922. They are currently being renovated and returned to this purpose.
Finally! A British train station that actually has free WiFi and which you don't have to pay for using the toilets!
First opened in 1868, then renovated and expanded in the 2000s, this station is a beautiful mix of old and new. Wait for your train at the longest champagne bar in Europe and enjoy!

One of my favorite train stations. Really cool architecture and a ton of shops and places to eat. The 2012 shop and top-floor oyster bar are must-visits. Oh, and the trains are nice, too ...
Looking to grab a coffee? Last time we checked, instead of a £1.50 filter coffee from Starbucks, you can get a freshly roasted organic coffee for only 99p from Pret a Manger (just opposite).
Looking for halal food? Head to Fine Burger Co at south eastern platforms. The chicken and lamb options are halal and yummy !
Waiting for a late night/early morning train go to the Costa in the station its warm, open 24 hours and has wifi.

Don't catch a taxi from the St Pancras rank at peak time. You will spend £5 before you even make the first set of traffic lights. Go to Kings Cross. 2 minutes walk.
Single ticket tube fare is 4 pounds, get an Oyster card
Need water? Go to M&S. They sell it for less than 50p for a large bottle. Cheapest in the station by far...
Want a good, efficient train service, get on eurostar and try the continent as first group couldn't run a bath let alone a railway

Looking for the toilet? You'll find them in the following places:- Opposite Eurostar arrivals- The Circle- International departure lounge- Platforms A and B (beyond ticket barrier)
Sourced Market under the main departure boards is good for food. They also sell Monmouth coffee. Alternatively try a burger from Fine Burger Co.

There's an easily missed Marks & Spencer tucked away in the corner by the Kings cross exit for grub on the go.

Rarely for a mainline station, there are toilets (at the far end, ground floor near the national rail ticket office) where you don't have to pay to use them
If you walk down towards the big clock, you'll find a 2012 Olympics store on the lower level and the unique champagne bar on the upper level.
