Beer, wine and spirits from Germany and delicious, home made food in Manhattan's Lower East Side!
The back patio is where it's at when the weather's nice.
On 6/13, the Germany v Australia match will be playing here. Stop by for a chance to win a free pair of Havaianas! Australia has arguably the funniest nickname in all of the 2010 World Cup: Socceroos
try their french fries with mayo...delicious
A beer garden with a great selection of brews. Bring your friends, get some pretzels and sausage, some beer, and enjoy!
Try the Pretzels with mustard and spot it on Foodspotting!
Order up a side of currywurst sauce with the fries. Nice little kick to balance that liter of beer you have. Prost!
Never ever get the 11 0.2L glasses of Gaffel Kolsch. The beer is nasty and the form factor is just a scam to sell you way too much of it.
If you're getting food, order the currywurst.
Wait staff not so nice to big groups
Grab a seat out back in the garden and enjoy good company and a liter of Radeberger Pilsner with a Bavarian Bretzeln or a Frikadelle mit Pommes Frites.
Amazing sausage options.
day drinking cause it's gorgeous out, but friggin cold under the tent
20 different German ales and lagers, plus German comfort food.
grab your dudes - and start drinking and eating sausages/schnitzel/cheese and liverwurst - and don't stop until you cant remb stopping
steer clear of the curry wurst. you want it to be like Berlin. it's not. not by along shot
the pork meatballs with fries and the tomato curry sauce are amazing and it's a good amount of food compared to the other small plates.
Best Biergarten I have been to in Manhattan. Tacos are to die for, amazing non-wheat beers, friendly staff. If you can't get a seat outside, they play some sweet tunes inside. Surprisingly not loud!
Beat the line- use the secret bathroom!
Authentic German food and refreshing patio - perfect on a warm summer evening!
CURRYWURST! that is all.
Best hot pretzels with beer to match
Who knew such a small spot would have such a large outdoor seating area? Enjoy your steins outdoors on a hot NYC day.
Not sure why I'm drinking cocktails at a biergartden, but don't be tempted by the Birne Helene cocktail, while it sounds delicious, it's not so great.
check out the chicken paprika dish - it is fabulous
Reibekuchen are not fresh but processed food and "summer salad" is just plain bad. Very disappointing. Don't go, it's not worth it.
Reissdorf Kölsch rules ...
Try the Aventinus Weizen-Eisbock. Its the strongest beer in the house with a 15% alcohol content (I think) and tastes a little like an espresso. #goodstuff
“Spend Saturday & Sunday afternoons here for lunch and a few Kranz Kölsch beer trays with a bunch of your hungover friends.” More at http://www.partyearth.com/venues/loreley-restaurant-and-biergarten.
One of the best spots in NYC for a beer lover to celebrate a with friends. Reserve the downstairs with enough people to get your own bartender for the night.
Fun fact: Loreley's tables were made by a carpenter in Cologne.
Just like home!
Get a schneider weisse and relax on the back patio!
try the rinder steak with fries. also try a litre of weihenstephaner hefeweizen, you won't regret it
If you like kölsch and Currywurst it's the best spot this side of the atlantic
This is a German as bars get over here, I suppose.
Wow, this place, yes. Get the $10 beer.
Don't be afraid of the schnitzel fingers.
Lacking on bathrooms
Everything on the menu says "wiener." lol
The waitstaff will not allow a large party to have separate checks, even when asked at the start of ordering.
Beware of the automatic paper dispensers in the bathroom. They are very sensitive.
Super Lokal im Kölner Brauhaus Style. Als Rheinische Frohnatur im Big Apple mein Lieblingslokal. Ganser als Fassbier :) Halve Haan auch aufm Menu ;D
