    The current special exhibit on Frank Gehry models and the crowd-pleasing Metropolis II are not to be missed. The quiet, spacious layout of the Japanese gallery is a delight.

    Amazing program to encourage kids to appreciate art. Kids get in free and can bring in a guest though the Next Gen program. Awesome!

    Closed Wednesdays, but free admission for LA County residents every other weeknight after 3PM. Check their calendar for free movie screenings and live music events.

    If you're an LA local, or on a budget, look up free museum days & free museum hours! Wonderful staff, and a wide variety of art to please a wide variety of tastes in art. Next to a beautiful park.

    The Islamic art is located on the 4th floor of Ahmanson building.Unfortunately,its so limited.Since jan'15,they featured contemporary Islamic art&removed the ancient art&will switch back again in '18!

    LACMA is one of the best modern art museums in the country. Come here to see the famous light post installation, Urban Light, check out some Rivera & Matisse, and definitely don’t miss Metropolis II.

    This museum's donors are perhaps narcissists...they want their own wing but clearly there is little funding for conservation, display and maintenance. Amazing collection, but sadly uncared for.

    I Love how on certain occasions a special event is featured. Last time I went I got to see the special exhibit featuring DVF dresses. Beautiful, and definitely a great place for artsy people.

    LA County Residents After 3 pm: After 3 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, general admission is FREE to Los Angeles County residents with proof of residency.

    Multiple buildings with art from different countries & regions of the US. You can easily spend a couple of hours walking through the galleries.

    Be nice to the security guards. They're on their feet all day looking after some of the worlds great art. Acknowledge them and smile. They'll return the favor.

    Most of the lower level entry areas were very well displayed. The buildings construction and the way the Art was arranged was easy one the eyes and feet. I definitely recommend repeated attendance.

    LACMA is a great place to visit. It has several floors of art. The European section was fantastic. If you are into art and even if you are not, you should visit this place.

    Came here to check out the tar pits. Museum itself was neat, would have spent longer there had time allowed on the meter (was low on change) but what I got around to seeing was very interesting.

    Great spot for a first date. Meet under LACMA's Urban Lights display on Wilshire Boulevard and head inside to check out the art see a film or play, or listen to free concerts on Sundays Live events.

    Huge! Awesome collection and great temporary exhibitions. Also check out the architecture on the Japanese art pavilion all the way in the back.

    2001 exhibit was amazing! Clockwork needed to be bigger. Overall huge exhibit worth seeing for anyone who appreciates good quality film making!

    Extremely obnoxious, and rude security. They follow you around and look at what you're doing the whole time like a criminal. One of the securities told me I couldn't drink water?! Wth disappointing!

    Open til 9pm on Friday & particularly charming after dark. Take a stroll through Chris Burden's BRILLIANT public sculpture "Urban Light," then go inside & get dizzy in the monumental Serra sculptures!
