Excellent place. Everyone who comes to NYC should live the lower east side experience
Love the selection of local hipster bars and restaurants!

Dirty, stinky and disgusting projects as far as the eye can see. The neighborhood is inhabited by low life EBT thieves.

One of NYC's oldest neighborhoods and home to original tenements from the 19th and 20th centuries, it's a wonderful place to explore. Lots of character!
Its lower than the East Side... its the Lower East Side!
Cool place to hang out, shop and even work as do I... new yorkers are still dicks though lml.
Slowly dying. Day by day it gets worse and worse. RIP LES.
Wander into a mysterious local hovel and stumble upon musicians, comedians and weirdos putting on fun shows on a nightly basis. Or visit jessicadelfino.com calendar for some leads.
Via Tribunali on the Ludlow between Rivington and Delancey is delicious! 122 Ludlow Street
America starts here. It was the first stop in the American journey for many of our ancestors—from Germans and Chinese to Irish, Italians, and Jews. Today it hums with Latino and hipster energy.

LES is more.. Welcome to the hood!
My old hood.
Also known as "LES" if you are super chill and wear skinny jeans.
Still the raddest place in NYC.
The LES is the only real Manhattan left but beware of its impending doom.
You will never be the same..
The home of Immigration and the world. Home of some of the most talented people on the planet.

Lower East is only a 20 mins drive or hour-long subway from the awesome amusement parks at Coney Island!!
Talk a walk in the renovated easy river park. Take that walk all the way down to south street seaport.
Did you know that you need to walk the 4.5 miles from Queens Blvd to the Lower East Side to burn off the calories from one 23oz. sweetened tea?
The last stop before heading to Brooklyn on the (F), this stop is one of the most under-visited stops by transit fans. Above ground the M9 bus cruises by daily, also a line that is under fanned.
Loud, crazy, awesome

It's summer so one of my favorite things to do is get a tropical icy (Helado) on Delancy. They have little carts on Delancy usually between Ludlow and Essex. Coconut is the best.
Sara D. Park is worth a visit every time you come here.
