Dont go in School Holidays! Go Sat or Sunday morning (whilst Kids morning Sports are on!) and you will have a great time. Don't forget to save yourself the money and buy tickets online...

Don't go late expecting to have a quick ride, it'll cost you $10 per ride. Multi-passes are 50% when it's late enough but depending on what time you're there, may still not be worth it.

No tripods allowed in the park, but are allowed on the boardwalk, so for light trails that's your best option...
Mosic ride ia the best!!
If your child in under 106cm the options are pretty limited.
Over zealous security will hassle you if you have a SLR camera...don't bother if you have a tripod or monopod...very disappointing!
