The airport commenced operation on 17 May 1992. It is the second busiest airport in Germany in terms of passenger traffic, handling 38,689,954 passengers in 2013.
One of the bests airports ever.
Gretest airport in hole Europe!
One of the best airports in EU
Nice airport that has an excellent train connection to Munich city. 24h free WiFi. T2 is the nice terminal with free tea and coffee sponsored by Lufthansa.
T1 is way worse as compared to spacious and shiny T2. Avoid flying via T1, there's literally nothing to do there. Boredom.
Good to see Munich airport on top 10 list in 2015 as well.
Take a rest in the Fit and Fly spa in the Hilton
Airport-to-city ticket is €12,00?!
one of my favorite airports. free coffee, free wi-fi, lots of sockets, lots of shops, pretzels, loungers, quiet corners. love it.
Be aware of huge termunal it is. Consider using travolators and club cars to get to gates which could be in different ends of the airport.
Heaven place! Free 24 hour WiFi for a sign up, free beverages, water (with organic lemon juice provided) near gates. Mini-library with cosy chairs and tables with socket/USB charges are here, too. 😍
Arrive early for international flights if you are not an EU citizen!! Long lines for 'All Passport' travelers.
The open space between terminal 1 and 2 and the food in general is good too
They make you go through an additional security check if you're connecting flights, which is inconvenient. But it's also pretty clean.
Also, as it is a norm in Germany, free tea and coffee. Newspapers at no charge either English and German are also available
Good airport with free wifi. However it lacks play areas for children
One of the best airports. Especially terminal 2 is very well structured
Very poor services & facilities in terminal 1D, right after check-in: 1 place to eat, 2 place to shop. Wifi is terrible and only allowed to use for 30mins. Stay as long as you can in the main terminal
Good Hotspot here
the security controls which take forever... Seriously rude
free tea and coffee
Free wi-fi, free coffee and tea, clean. Come to vitra relax zone near G16. It's perfect when you have transfer flight
Nice airport but the day I arrived it was very crowded and could barely handle the lines at passport check.
Free WiFi "Telekom"
Terminal 1 is very small, NO restaurant at all! Just cafe with ready food and bad coffee! Disappointed!((
Vitra lounge at the G level, amazing place to relax during long stopovers
Good food everywhere!!
They have sleeping stations where you can relax, stretch out or enjoy a short nap 😴 while waiting for your flight ✈️ You can find one near gate H31.
Everything is beyond awesome! Many comfy places to wait for your flight regardless of your traveller status! Amazing food and shops although expensive... <3
Free coffee, hot chocolate and tea, 24 hours of free internet. Love you Lufthansa! 💖
Free coffee, newspapers, USB plugs, etc.
Huge airport with lots of free newspapers/coffee/tea after the security checks.
Beautiful & excellent services
Smoking lounge is at gate H20
Free Wi-Fi. Free Coffee!!
If possible, I always try to take an airline which flies from/to Terminal 2.... the much nicer/newer of the two terminals
Amazingly fast, free, wifi
If you are hungry, the only place with decent prices is the Bistro Organic.
Very intelligent partitions for gates
Beer n' Brezels till your flight is boarding
Pretty standard stuff, no problems here.
Looking for some inspiration? Make sure to check out the Cedon store near gate G24
Different experience at the G gates and the H gates, which sucks.
One of the best airports in the world. Free wifi available everywhere, which is great!
Quite a difficult and mazy airport
Awesome airport! One of the bests of the world. Enjoy in the sleep area or smoke in the conditioned areas. All great. Lufthansa are the best!
The Viktualienmarkt is the city’s largest and most famous outdoor marketplace. You can find everything from spices and cheeses to handmade straw puppets.
Very good for connecting flights
