Pro tip: shop like a local outside the market along the western wall. Half the price, twice as good service and quality. Bonus: pick up fresh ground Turkish coffee at the famous Kurukahveci Mehmet.

While not being very keen on Kapalıçarşı, I love this one for the colours and smells. Don't be surprised if you get free dinner (all deserts) while being here as everyone will offer you to try sth.

The Spice Bazaar Mısır Çarşısı is one of the largest bazaars in Istanbul. Located in the Eminönü quarter of the Fatih district, it is the second largest covered shopping complex after the Grand Bazaar

Find the almost-hidden staircase near the northern (?) entrance, sneak upstairs to the restaurant and catch a peek (and pic!) of the markte from above via the dining room window. Be speedy!

Worth visiting to get an idea of what bazaar is. Very crowded but people are nice and nobody's angry with each other. You can find some good deals.

Generally best prices we found in the city for anything in the bazaar, especially silver and ceramic. Beats the pants off grand bazaar, cost-wise, and less hassling to go with it.

A covered market famous for its spices almost next to Yeni Camii. Take a walk to see all these colours and smells from spices and delights but rather not buy....it's a bit pricey.

The Egyptian Bazaar in Fatih is a huge shopping complex filled with many different kinds of spices, dried fruits, nuts, and some sweet treats. Open daily, from 9am to 7pm.

Always crowded, always lively, always colourful. Sadly, goods are mostly touristic and low quality, so you must try and find the good vendors. For spices 👉 Kalmaz Baharat, no: 41 on the left side 😉

If you leave the indoor part of the market and go right outside, by the water and Galata bridge, the vendors are more authentic and more than half the price

L-shaped traditional bazaar, it is inspiring to see the colourful spices and inhale their smell. But rather buy them in supermarkets for half of the price.

Too crowded but the goods are really good. I would definitely recommend this place but be ready for a long rounds of price negotiations which you might end up having the product at half of the price.

This place is good for a visit however if your time is limited, head to the grand bazaar instead. Bigger and better! Remember if you are looking for pure saffron, it is Iranian and not Turkish.
