Shoe section is fabulous. We worked with Esha ("Ee-sha") and she was so helpful. Choose one person to help and bring them shoes. They scan & order them down. Helps to have just one person assisting!

The escalators get more interesting as you go higher. The higher floors have escalators made of wood. Built in 1902, Macy's New York was the first building in the world to use modern day escalators.

Massive iconic department store. Has all top luxury brands and the more moderately priced brands too. Usually have discounts of 10%/15% for those out of state/travelers from abroad so ask your teller!

Amazing place for all shoppaholics like me and bf. We spend over 8 hours there, getting some pretty great stuff for good value-if from Europe, ask for visitors discount- about 10%. Discounts cumulate.

Worth a trip just to see, it's huge. Be sure to scan your ID if there isn't a Macy's in your state you get a 10% voucher for your entire purchase.

This secret can save you ten minutes inside. Skip the up escalator. An express elevator on Broadway side goes straight to the 6th and 8th floor. Start there and work your way down on the escalators.

The 7th floor is the best plus-size selection you will find on one floor... dare I say the entire country or even world. They carry designer/fashionable/ trendy collections for the fuller-figure

The home of the famous Thanksgiving day parade. Inside they still have wooden escalators back from old days. They honor their coupons if you are from out of state. Wonderful holiday windows.

Despite being advertised as the world’s largest store, it isn’t. According to the GBOWR, the flagship store of Shinsegae in Centum City, South Korea is almost twice the size of Macy’s (5.49MM sq ft)

Macy's decoration or home furnishing department is lovely and diverse! We're pretty sure you'll have fun browsing around. The staff is also nice, so they'll help you with anything you need

They have some of the oldest wooden escalators! They have great sales at times but it is usually very crowded just like any other department store due to travellers and tourists! :D

Old New York charm, glitz and glamour style, but only good for tourists to shop, unless you want good shoes on sale. For trendy competitive priced clothes, try the other shops on 34th street.

If you go to NY, you have to do some shopping at Macy's. Coach purses are on the main floor, INC is one floor up. Take the old wooden escalators near the center of store, then have a Starbucks.

Fantastic shop, everything you need. However most staff lack in customer service skills, not wanting to help, serve or smile. Not nice at Christmas time!

to access the upper floors use the 35th St/B'way entrance, take the express elevators to the 8th fl and use escalators to get to lower floors. MUCH faster and MUCH less crowded than main elevators

Some sales associate are not familiarized with the merchandise... especially, the associates in the Men's shoes Department. I might as well scan the shoes & google them to get my questions answered.

When here, expect chaos because of tourist looking for deals. I shop here often because of my coupons as a card holder & their sales. Most major brands are here & the staff is helpful. Good luck!

Three advices: 1. Search for macy's coupons on internet before coming here. They are cummulative. 2. Enjoy your shopping. 3. Good luck for those who are waiting someone that is shopping.

Beware. Although great prices, the customer service is horrendous. I am starting to associate them as a discount store instead of an upscale department store. It looks like my bedroom as a 10 year

Waited 2.5hrs at MK to just get a refund! Nobody apparently knows how to repurchase the amount and refund the correct amount. All the associates just try to pass you another one. Never coming back!

When trying to use the discount, most sales associates will say they don't think they accept it. You have to push them to enter the code, but it certainly works! Great deal!

Macy's is evolving into the equivalent of the Mall of America or Times Square, Big and glitzy but bereft of charm. I miss the slight Grey Gardenesq dinginess of days of old.
