Try the prawns!
The food was delicious
Lamb curry bunny chow and boerewoers were fantastic
Everything. The burgers big, the rice delish, the prawns massive & the selection of S.African wine perfection. Very much a neighborhood place with a lively bunch of regulars but everyone feels at home
The roti is fantastic and the garlic bread. The vegetable curry too!
Lamb chops and the chicken wings and Obama punch will leave you feeling good and full!
The wait was sooo long, we did get free drinks on the house but man, 45 minutes really?
The grilled veggies, lamb curry and jerky were all fantastic.
Loved the fish n chips, they're nice and vinegary. The cocktails are a little too sweet for me.
Food was excellent, a must for anyone into international cuisine.
Skip the oxtail. If you want flavorful oxtail, stick with your neighborhood Caribbean restaurant. The Bobotie was the tastiest thing my party ordered.
Kalkys fish parcel with beer and chocolate indulgence for dessert... Love it!!
Sort of like Cheers in ft Greene. A comfy place where everyone knows your name. Recommend the chicken curry.
The grilled Calamari appetizer will make you question why you every liked it fried. Then try the flavorful Beryani with lamb, which makes your tastebuds dance and top it off with the Bread Pudding.
Lamb bunny chow and Mozambique prawns - yummm!!
Bobotie was so good!
Curried frikkadels & the nana s milk tart
Joburg Joller is a killer cocktail
boerewors and pap
salmon cake was a tasty starter
chicken curry roti style
Bobotie and curries Bunny Chow Style. So good.
Aside from the obvious winners, the pumpkin side dish is a perfect sweet component to the meal, and excellent sub for slightly savory dessert.
Get the Amagwinya: fried sourdough filled with a juicy, flavorful beef mixture & served with a sweet chutney. Food is delicious, but the spotty, slow service keeps this place from becoming a standout.
Prawns peri peri
Loved the oxtail soup and chakalaka
Awesome food, good service. Enjoy some Crabbie's while waiting for your order.
Line fish was great!

The Chutney they use with their Samosas is Awesome
Although the host that attended us was great, our waiter(s) was awful. We had a total of 3 diff ppl serving us food, & they never checked on us. I had the lobster tail - not a fan. Ribs were good.
Order the chicken wings and samossas
Brunch was decent. We didn't venture too deep in the menu this time, but there are some great curry items I hope to try in the future. Get the pitcher of Obama Mama. You won't regret it
Always friendly service, hip scene, delicious food and no better place to chill out on dekalb in the summer.
Try the bunny chow & the ribs. You will not be disappointed!
Really good. The lamb chops and the prawns are delicious. Food is kinda pricy though!
Rest In Peace Madiba.
Good ostrich carpaccio and lamb chops. Cornmeal and cabaggey sides are blah.
The wings. Yes!!!!
Get the wings!
Delicious food in one of my favorite neighborhoods. Grab a table outside and do some people watching while you wait for your Bunny Chow to arrive!
Great pap! Roti was nice and hot. Good texture and taste.
I walk by this restaurant often and it seems to always be busy. Now i know why. The vegetable curry served with beryani rice was tasty. The restaurant has many vegetarian options. We will back!
Just had sides. Good for vegetarians. Amagwinya, yellow rice and raisins and warm pumpkins fritters.
The lamb chops are like meat candy!
Slowest service ever.
Great ambiance! Delicious food. Try the Seafood Curry Breyani style!
