After you pay for everything, if it's nice outside, the best and closest place to enjoy your baked goods and beverages is Bleecker Street Park, which is caddy corner from Magnolia.

Chocolate cupcakes were awesome. Classic vanilla also bloody good. They do ice creams and cheesecakes. Tiny shop, ran out of red velvet cupcakes when we got there about 2pm. Yummy.

Anyone who visits NYC must take a detour to visit this bakery! Their cupcakes are amazing. My absolute favorite RED VELVET! Their banana pudding is also very tasty, to die for!

My kids think this place is heaven. Icing is a little sweet for my taste, but cupcakes, cakes & pies are all pretty damn good. Constant long lines, but move pretty quickly. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more

The bakery that began the cupcake craze is still the best. We suspect it’s the lick-your-fingers-to-get-the-last-bit-of-butter-cream frostings and fillings. They do a mean banana pudding too.

Their cupcakes are even better than you've heard. I love them and I don't even like cupcakes (I make an exception for theirs)! Also try the mini-cheesecakes and the banana pudding is delectable!

I must be the only person to receive an extremely dry and disappointing red velvet cupcake here (based on other tips). every other flavor I've tried was great though - a nice stop for tourists!

No cupcake, not even Magnolia's, can live up to the Magnolia Bakery cupcake hype. In fact, skip the cupcakes and try one (or more) of their many other concoctions. The flourless chocolate cake and ban

This bakery is the place where red velvet cupcakes were born! Depending on season, also try harvest apple and banana ones. Be prepared to put on the most delicious kilos :D

The banana pudding is like no pudding you've ever had before. It is simply amazing. However I had a slice of caramel cake once and that was a mistake. It was very dry.

Best Bakery in NYC. Come here as often as possible! Unbelievable cupcakes, best ever blondies, and the most decadent homemade banana pudding! My favorite place on earth!
Definitely has become a popular tourist spot, but good thing is that cupcakes are so fresh since the waiting line is quite long, and cupcakes go out very quick.

I have been here a few times. I am sorry...these cupcakes are very dry and I have to drink something immediately after eating from there. I am tired of giving this place a try.

I liked the cupcake presentation and the taste of the cake itself. I didn't like the cream all those random items and stuff hanging inside made the bakery look sloppy and cramped :(

Red Velvet Cupcakes. You can't live in New York or visit New York without coming here. Delicious and a tourist attraction. It's been in Sex and the City so obviously you have to go!

Yes, it's a hype fuelled by Sex and the City. But the cakes are delicious. Take one to eat outside in the mini park opposide the shop.

Can we be honest for just a moment? An 8 year old can make better cupcakes using Betty Crocker mix. Stick to other desserts. The pecan pie is great and I hear the banana pudding is too.
