I always get banana pudding or a cupcake but the raspberry cheesecake my bf got for me was so rich in flavor and not super sweet! I think I'm going to get the cheesecake from now on

The meringue. The MERINGUE! Skip the red velvet cupcake. Look away from the double chocolate cupcake. Get the little pillow of heaven filled with chocolate shavings. #yourewelcome

A must place for cupcake lovers. Cupcakes are fresh, with a moist cake base and a creamy/fluffy/butter-y, lighter-than-the-air frosting. Red Velvet is ALWAYS my choice. Small. Cozy. Simple.

Magnolia Bakery makes the best cheesecakes in NYC. If you go there, make sure to go with an appetite because they have so many tasty baked goods that will blow your mind! And your sugar levels! :)

Satisfy your sweet tooth with any other their cupcakes, pies and cookies. Pair a red velvet cupcake or a lemon bar with any of their specialty coffee drinks and you'll be in sweet, sweet heaven.

Everything is delicious totally worth it but too little and too crowded, the lines are very confusing cuz sometimes people just stands there looking at the cup cakes trying to choose what to buy.

What is not to love about the famous Magnolia Bakery? Try anything and EVERYTHING-- especially the cupcakes! They make a great treat and a well appreciated gift! We love S'mores and red velvet cupcake

Banana pudding is better than cupcakes. There is nothing wrong with cupcakes but for a size, it's expensive. There are a handful cupcake shops that are as good or better and I have to pay less in town

The bakery that began the cupcake craze is still the best. We suspect it’s the lick-your-fingers-to-get-the-last-bit-of-butter-cream frostings and fillings. They do a mean banana pudding too.

It's not a trip to NYC if it doesn't include a stop at Magnolia Bakery. Back side of Bloomingdale's, on 3rd and 60th, kitty corner to Dylan's Candy Bar. Best cupcakes anywhere. Frosting is divine!

Definitely try the red velvet cupcake, caramel cupcake. truffle cupcake, lemon cupcakes, and hummingbird cupcakes. oatmeal raisin cookies, and cranberry chocolate chunk cookies. Expect a long line.

Line moves fast! Order first, then get in line to pay. Or if u have 2 people, one should get in line to pay and the other orders, just get back in line before it's your turn to pay!

Go for something besides the cupcakes. There are so many other great things to offer; try the chocolate pudding pie, the pumpkin spice whoopie pie, or any if the brownish. You won't be sorry.

The Carmel pecan cheesecake was to die for! The blueberry crumble was refreshing. Would love to try the cheesecake though! The German chocolate cake was okay, but probably not the best thing.

My all-time favorite is the devil's food cake. Then the lemon cake, the chocolate cake, the vanilla cake (VERY sweet that one). Can't go wrong if you're ready for your sweet shot.

I had the lemon cupcake. Seemed a little disorganized in the shop, but service was quick. Cupcakes cost 3.50 each and you can get them in a cute box

I had the BEST tasting cup of coffee...I'm not even kidding. Starbucks and Dunkin have their flaws...one sip from Magnolia's and I'm sold. Oh, yea, their red velvet cupcake was divine. :)

Honestly not the best red velvet cupcake that i've ever had! Most certainly there are quite lots of places better! Try the blueberry crumb the name of it made me excited to order it.

vanilla cupcakes with pastel buttercream icing - who can resist? And the banana pudding is a must. But if you haven't tried the snickers moon pie, you don't know what you're missing.

Anyone who visits NYC must take a detour to visit this bakery! Their cupcakes are amazing...my absolute favorite RED VELVET! Their banana pudding is also very tasty!

Like most s'mores inspired desserts, their s'mores cake seems a good concept, but is lacking in execution. The cake part is not moist enough, and the frosting is not marshmallow-y enough.

Not a fan!! ill stick with my other cup spots. The actual cupcakes had no flavor....I couldn't tell the red velvet from the vanilla or the caramel 😳 the icings UGH just as bad very thick & dense

you can't beat the double chocolate cupcakes - the frosting is equivalent to fudge! skip lines by going in the early afternoon on weekdays - otherwise, prepare to wait!

I had a simple vanilla cupcake with buttercream icing. If this is the best bakery NY has to offer, don't bother. Dry cake and icing was average at best.

Avoid this place just after shows let out at adjacent Radio City Music Hall (particularly when the Christmas Spectacular is in season). The crowds can be just crushing.
  • Richard D.
Delicious cupcakes and banana pudding. So crowded and a bit chaotic. Unfortunately, you can't enjoy the stuff you bought inside as they don't have tables and chairs.

Skip the cupcakes (usually has a long line anyway) and go for the banana pudding or their lemon bars. Avoid the blondies, brownies and other bar cookies--they're on the dry side.

Another Magnolia, this time serving up delicious treats in Midtown. Everyone knows about the great cupcakes but if you haven't had it yet, try the banana pudding. Fantastic.

The cupcake that started the craze! The line is long and chaotic, esp now that Crumbs is gone, but moved relatively quickly if people know what they're ordering.

The magic, long gone from most of their baked goods, has now almost abandoned the banana pudding as well - which seems to have a mushier consistency of late.

A medium sized banana bread pudding is perfect for one person :).. Even if you think you don't like banana. The cookies and magic bar are worth skipping.

One of the best places for dessert in NYC. Their speciality - cupcakes, especially the Devil's Food (mocha) cupcake. So full of amazing flavors.

Think twice about the whipped cream, trust me, you'll realize how sweet that whipped cream is once you finish the chocolate, it's kinda absurd. Otherwise, it's a good cup of coco.

Forget the much-vaunted cupcakes, and opt for the Whoopie Cookie (two brown sugar cookies with maple cream cheese in the middle) and Banana Pudding.

The cupcakes are overrated and are probably the worst you can find in the city, but their banana pudding slightly makes up for it. Beware of the tourists
