The cooked food was terrible and unseasoned. Very unorganized in terms of taking orders and offering goods upon completion. Several items missing from my order

Fresh seafood. Prices at all stands essentially the same. Shopping before the weekend or holiday pay more (they don't show prices for items most in demand) Lobster $7.95 Dec.23-->$11.95 Dec 24

Nothing like fresh blue crabs! Steamed while you wait or cook at home. prices vary daily. Note that after Dec. 2, crabs can't be harvested locally so they get from FL so prices will be higher.

For the absolute freshest and tastiest seafood, be sure to come here. If you have no car, take the DC bus. It stops nearby! This is a real treat.

A pain to find parking during lunch but I always get great service at all the places I visit.

Parking is a pain but much of it is really fresh. Be sure to shop around the different vendors.

Jessie's steams all crabs for free! Right now (4/21/13) have Florida females in addition to Maryland. Best deals are for bushels but cheap/yummy grab&go food too (ceviche, crab cake, oysters, etc.)

Great place to get whole fish, filets, clams, oysters, squid, crabs, scallops without paying the ridiculous grocery/restaurant prices. I would suggest going early, there's less lines, less fish scent.

buy a whole fish and stop by the fish cleaning trailer where they'll fillet it for you for $.50/lb.

If you want cooked seafood buy from the stand with the green awning. They'll give you free slices of strawberry pie or banana creme pie while you wait!

By crab mallets for $1 if you plan on eating your crabs on site. The stand with the live crabs on the right has them.

Do not park your car anywhere without the meter! You will get a ticket as soon as you leave your car. Those cops on bikes are vicious.

Maine Ave. Fish Market is one of the great hidden gems of DC. Go here to buy your seafood instead of the grocery store, it is much better quality and you're supporting local business.

Sometimes you can haggle the price down. The worst they can say is no right?

If your buying crabs NEVER buy the precooked crabs. First order live ( Talk the price down) then ask the to steam YOUR order. The crabs that are precooked are NEVER fresh !
