Maison Bertaux is the oldest patisserie in London, but that's not the main reason to visit it - we love the coffe and the freshly baked treats too. http://j.mp/UEL0St
Try and get upstairs and sit in the strangest tea room in london. Eat Lemon Tart and sup Earl Grey tea while looking out of the 1st floor window.
Great place for afternoon tea
Try the ham & cheese croissant!!! Très bon!!!
Love the seasonal items (eg strawberry millefeuille in spring) plus cheesecakes! =)
The mont blanc and fruit tarts have shrunk :( but the plain cheesecake is STILL AMAZING. If you're lucky, get the 'baked cheesecake', whatever that means.
chou cream are great!
If you can get a table outside on a quite evening, this spot is a little piece of heaven. Delicious tea and cakes and a quirky crowd of bohos and Japanese ladies.
Earl Grey and cheesecake. BLISS.
If you get here around 9am, croissants/pain au chocolat/etc, are still warm from on-site oven. Highly recommended
Homey tea room- cheesecake was soft in texture (i prefer the tougher one). Strawberry tart is nice.
Great little place for tea, cakes and people watching.
The French patisserie is to die for... :) Avoid upper floors if you can.
Amazing cakes and tea, but mostly go for the atmosphere. So quaint, and the staff are really charming.
The croissants are delicious and great Cappuccino! Great mid afternoon spot :) good service
Almond croissants all sold out on a Sunday afternoon. So got an apple almond tart instead, not bad.
Eclectic service and decor but an original gem . Sit outside with a cake and watch all the muscle Marys swanning past on the way to old Compton
Quirky place with great patisseries that took me back to France. Really friendly staff who gave me a free coffee when they forgot about bringing it!
Feels like France...but with more desserts
Oldest teashop in London! Has cakes and a pot of tea is £3. Good for alternative late night as opens till 11pm.
Finally delicious cakes, clearly without additives, home made! Not really a hipster place, far from glamorous tea place but still a must see!
The finest tea and cakes in London and a glorious place to 'people watch'.
Great, cozy tea place with super nice cakes :) a bit expensive but still very cute
The real English Tea in a French atmosphere. One of my favourite spots in London :) love it!!
